people love to read into tweets though I would be remiss to not say these athletes know what they're doing when tweet these things even if it is just for attention. kuzma wouldn't want to go to any of the LA teams because he'd take on a lesser role on either of them. kuzma would be nice on the warriors or kings tho.

Ever been to LA or many of these other giant cities people think are awful?
Ive been to most nba cities I believe and the only one I saw considerable homeless people like…in a way you just stumble over them?
New Orleans. But even then you don’t really know what’s going on. They’re under the bridge all day but at 9pm someone pulls out a grill, a bunch of cars turn up, someone rides up on a horse, a Mardigras Indian materializes out of thin air in an elaborate outfit and it seems to be a party.
I don’t know where they put the mattresses that are there early in the day.

70k people are homeless. That’s a city in the city. You don’t notice because we are conditioned to ignore it. New Orleans has approximately 1200 homeless

Did I say New Orleans has more homeless people? It’s like a 15th the size of course it’s homeless(and everything) population is smaller. I said it’s the only one of these cities that put me face to face with a size-able number. They are right there even in kinda normal residential areas I’ve stayed in.
You can make a video showing anything. With the thousands of entertainers or other millionaires I’m sure we could get a compilation of luxurious surroundings. You wanna show luxury you go to those places. Wanna make a city with everything look like it’s all homeless you go to a tent city. I suspect young millionaire nba players don’t stroll through many to smell the shit.

That’s just kinda what it looks like when you want to show the homeless:

Take a much bigger city with even higher rent prices you get bigger camps along with bigger luxurious areas.
Is something weird about that in a world we choose to ignore such people?

homeless people should be shamed and driven into exile. their tent downs demolished and their resident squatters arrested and charged. any kind of homeless problem is a problem for tax paying residents because it breeds disease through urine and fecal matter. needles and prostitution. you choose not to see it because you think as long as you can avoid it by taking a different road youl be fine. but it spreads. addiction only grows. the economy is only creating more homeless and open borders is only flooding in more drugs to keep them homeless and jobless. these people panhandle hundreds of dollars every day. they won't save it for an apartment. they need that next hit of crack or meth. you're perpetuating it by treating them as victims. you're the victim. I'm the victim. f*ck these parasites. they should all be treated like this

Panhandler wise…worst I’ve seen?
Baltimore. They are clearly not homeless though. Mobs of teens and young adults on corners with air pods begging and sprinting up to start washing your windows at a stop light. They have on headphones to pretend they can’t hear you say “No thanks” then ask for money. They even take cash app. It’s wild. I actually did take a different street from my hotel(they hang out heavily near the nice hotels in the inner harbor). I was just reminded when you mentioned taking a different route. They never got a dollar from me even when they did catch me. But I can tell some people were intimidated.
Those types I have a problem with. But like I said they didn’t even seem homeless. Panhandling was basically their job.

Panhandlers are either homeless parasite drug addicts or frauds. neither deserve sympathy. they degrade society and bring down home values. it's harassment. they did a study and most get between 150 to 200$ a day. they have more money than most of the people giving it to them

all that will do is create suicidal drug addict alcoholics dependant on handouts like natives on reservations. they're conditioned and lose ambition and pride. it's no different than reparations. if you wanna destroy society make people feel entitled to free money. welfare hounds their recipients to look for work. food stamps shame them publicly. it should never be advantageous to be poor and work under the table while scamming government subsidies
all this will do is create more greed. criminals and drug addicts spend that amount of money over a few days.

Nah. California has literally everything. There are huge farms like in the Midwest. Massive design districts with five star restaurants and Bentleys everywhere. There are small neighborhoods with the same kinda lower middle class people you find in them everywhere in America. There are rednecks and gangs and soccer moms and more middle-class suburbs than you would believe. Wine makers, Mountain villages with old ladies selling apple cider, 500 miles of beaches that look like post cards, and all the rest. Lake culture, basketball courts, country clubs, taco trucks next to mosques and every kinda person on the earth.
California is whatever you choose to look for. If you want a forest full of 300 foot tall trees that look like cgi or to walk around a neighborhood of 50 million dollar houses then tour a vineyard….it’s there.
Damn near everything in the country is in California. There are more republicans in California than there are people in most states but red state types think it’s 1,000 miles of homeless people in every direction.
California is just America squeezed into one place.
Whatever you like or hate about it you could surround yourself with nothing but that. You can live in the desert, the mountains, the beach, the city, the farmlands or a tiny home village full of modern hippies brewing kombucha.
Theres a reason so many people are there. It’s beautiful and well rounded.
You’ll hear everyone’s leaving for 50 years of there being more people there than anywhere else. It’s just another place. But prettier and more well rounded than most. You can take pictures of bad areas all you like.
You can also take 50,000 pictures of national parks. You can make it look any way you want it to.
But whatever you want…you can probably find it.

I don't understand why people don't get this. In fact most of the inhabited parts of California are suburban middle class single family homes. Millions of Californians live in such places that it's probably the most banal thing about California. I don't have time for mental midgets that have very small imaginations about places they never been. It annoys me when people think CA is just rich and homeless people as much as when people think the south is just a bunch of rednecks or the midwest is empty cold and dreary. There's so much richness and variety in this country, you have to have a low IQ like kenny or eliteballer to allow your brain to be that influenced by cable news politics and tired blue state/red state tropes to not appreciate it.

This is one reason I get Airbnb’s and stay for two weeks to a month a lot of places I travel. I’ll get a nice hotel somewhere the first time or maybe if I’m going specifically for some kind of event or celebration but I like to go places and stay in a real neighborhood and see how the vibe feels. I love just driving up to the hill country outside Austin or whatever. See real places and people and decide if I might wanna stay a while. Very few places have been what society told me they were. You get out west it’s just farms and suburbs bigger than you thought possible. Waze has you make 16 turns to find the house you’re staying in. 15 minute drive to get to the main road.
People talking about homeless camps from…tours of homeless camps.
Take your ass out there. It’s forests, beaches, dairy farms selling homemade cheeses and eagles flying around.

traveling is stupid unless you do it once a year and stay wherever you go for 6 months out of the year. then it's cost effective. I've been planning on spending winters in the Philippines after my cat dies and I have nothing holding me down anymore in ottawa. traveling to just another place like your own town and the only difference is a sports team and a shopping mall doesn't sound like much fun to me
Kblaze8855

The differences between one part of America and another, are limited due to an overall shared culture but they exist. I have enjoyed $700 meals at steak houses in Miami I later found out NBA players and celebrities love to frequent and I’ve had pit beef from a place in a shitty strip club parking lot in Baltimore in the same month and I think more about the pit beef sandwich. I get sick of the touristy things.
So far I only want two actual vacation homes. Austin or San Antonio and somewhere north of Miami. I could stay in either and not feel much reason to travel I think. As it is?
I’ll see something interesting on tv and text around to see who’s free to go with me. You spend 30 years tied to jobs taking vacation time and having to rush home…you just wanna take your time.
Half the time I leave I don’t even know where I’m going after I leave the landing spot. I went from Nashville to Memphis, to Dallas, to Austin, and then spent a week in Houston before coming home through New Orleans. I don’t really need a plan.
I agree on the malls though. Women being with me makes it hard to avoid them though. The same gotdamn clothes in every Guess outlet for 2000 miles but I need to visit each one….
Travelling also sounds stupid if you spend half the time on ISH. I guess you guys are his family. He loves you all.
Your constant traveling and 700 hundred dollar steaks are you trying to fill the emptiness in your life. If you accept that this is home and where you were always meant to be you will find happiness.

it's like a status thing. when I'm searching for places to go all I'm looking for is cost of living and how much better I can improve my life by living there for half of the year. the only way I'd ever travel for a short amount of time is if I really wanted to be at an event like when I went to Toronto for a Laker game. or new york for a Yankee game. it's just to say you've done it. like a bucket list thing. I’m actually here a lot less than I was when I worked. But yes I pop in here almost no matter what I did that day. I could be fixing a wall a water line leaked on in my kitchen or in nice restaurants where they wait for you to take a picture of the food like a douche because it comes out under a glass of smoke and they reveal it with a flourish. Either way…I’m probably watching if there’s a good game on that night.

I noticed my phone is full of pictures no one will ever see. Many of the beautiful things I take a picture of is so the women I’m with can post them with me in the shadows or send their group chats.
I do have a friend who does the photo thing just for social media though. I had him along in the Florida Keys and we bought a blunt rolled in a rose petal from a booth and he walked around smoking it asking us to take pics of him looking off over the water.

Of course I took the picture like a douche. The waiter brings it to you, and actually says, “Are you ready?” Because everybody takes a picture when they pull the smoked filled glass off covering the pastrami. I’ll take a lot of pictures, but lately they mostly go to a group chat of people I used to work with and this girl’s family who always wants to see what we’re doing.
Im not sure what the last thing I took a picture of that was for me.
I do love the giant old trees in Texas with low hanging limbs that grow big enough to sit on so they make them living benches throughout front yards. Those I took pictures of like a tourist because I just found it interesting.
