Who made the JP thread last year showing his stats as a starter...they were superstar level.

He's killed it as a starter again these last two games...just put up 43 points.

Maybe Steph really is holding this guy back.

Me. Last years Warriors ring doesn't count

They were the most stacked team ever and faced 1st round opponents in EVERY round including the finals.

Poole > Curry

Curry ball holds back literal superstars.

I made one recently about him starting this year over Klay and he continues to produce well. GS needs to incorporate Poole more into the offense when he starts with Steph and really have defenses on their toes. They can repeat this year because who is going to stop them, regardless of their defensive troubles, if Poole can produce at such a high level?

So many guys grew from low-producers to good producers alongside Curry

Expert jumpshooters allow teammates to develop, so they can win organically like Curry, Dirk or Kobe

He was legit last season without Steph so idk why people doubted him in the first place. He had a 20-game stretch of putting up 25 a game to end the season and kept GS afloat when Curry was injured. He's probably not going to have a prime/peak like Curry but he's good enough to be the 1st or 2nd best player on a solid Playoff team. Steph's not holding him back, it's just that you can't play him, Steph & Klay out there together for long stretches on the defensive side, especially when Wiggins is not playing either.

How good would Jordan Poole be as the first option on a bad team? What kind of stats could he put up if he was the main guy?

I think they should do better than curry did with kelly '> klay' oubre jr. as his second option some seasons before but we shall see.

He plays much better without Curry on the floor. Curry didn't develop Poole. Poole developed himself.

Curry suppresses Poole's game when they play together.

Actually Poole has played fine starting next to Curry this year. He dropped 30+ a couple of times.

It is off the bench when he has struggled. Off the bench his TS is 8% lower and his ppg is way down.

Poole's more comfortable shooting 21ft midrange shots.

curry holding poole back? LMAO

I think its more like Klay thompson holding Poole back. This time next season, Poole will be a starter over Thompson.

Poole has been excelling right next to Klay any time Curry has missed significant time last year and this year.

I think that's what Kerr needs to do. Make Poole a starter and then when Curry comes back have Klay come off the bench. At least try it for a month or two. They sure can't do any worse.

He’s horrendous everywhere besides scoring. He’s like Monta Ellis

Wiggins gives balance and if kuminga can be a good starting 2 way player it would allow curry and Poole to play more.

Ultimately I see klay and dray moving off this team.

He's a poor man's Steph Curry that is good with ball in his hand. When Curry isn't there, there is no one to compete with him for touches in that specific role so he plays much better.

As for Poole being better than Klay. Only as a #1 option. He's not better than Klay as a #2 option because Klay compliments #1 options much better with his defense, floor spacing, and non-ball dominant scoring skillset.
