View Full Version : Anyone thought it would be Miami Heat vs. Utah Jazz in the 1999 NBA Finals

When I was 13 years old I thought both of these teams would make it in the NBA Finals. Knicks upset the Heat in the first round while the Blazers beat the Jazz in the playoffs. It sucks both of these teams never add some legit 3rd scoring option.

Indiana vs Utah but the ratings would have been worse than the 2020 finals.

You weren't 13 in 1999

unlike OP I was actually watching the nba back in 99 and all the hype was about Lakers vs Houstons super team of washed up stars and whoever won that would automatically win the title. the east was an afterthought

Lakers actually became a better team after they hired Phil Jackson. And Shaq was also very angry after the Spurs eliminated them in the playoffs.
