Pippen was never the primary defender on the opponent's 1st or 2nd options except 4 times:

Dominique (who ragdolled him), Worthy (who was hurt and still got his normal numbers), Glen Rice (who easily outplayed Pippen), and Penny (who easily outplayed Pippen).

Otherwise, the top players on other teams consisted of a few bigs like Barkley, Malone, Shaq, Ewing, Smits and then a ton guards that underperformed against MJ like Drexler, Porter, Isiah, Dumars, Reggie Miller, Starks, Payton, KJ, Majerle, Stockton, Hornacek, Magic, Penny, Tim Hardaway, Mookie Blaylock & Steve Smith (97' Hawks), or Hersey Hawkins (90-91' Sixers).

Jordan wore all these guys out with offensive onslaught, while also defending them.. i.e. Jordan was the primary defender on Isiah for the 89' Playoffs and Isiah never shot above 40% against MJ in 4 series, while Dumars only averaged 14 ppg once in four tries.

Despite Jordan holding down most opposing 2nd options, Pippen still barely outscored opposing 2nd options while having decade-worst efficiency, clutch, spacing and peak capability (no game-planning required) among notable 90's sidekicks.

Heres some groundbreaking information for you: basketball is played with more than two, or believe it or not, even three players.

Honestly, at this point, either let him post or ban him permanently. Everybody knows the second he’s unbanned, he’s going to regurgitate the same bullshit he’s been posting for a decade. I just don’t understand the point of repeating the process of banning him for a day or two, just to ban him again later :lol

Worthy (who was hurt and still got his normal numbers)

This is true.

I watched the entire 1990 Finals and it was clear that Worthy was the third best player on the court, like no comparison. I would say in some games he was even as valuable as Magic.

I did think Pippen was a great defender on Magic and that MJ was too small, so I don't know about that.

In any case, Iggy didn't deserve his FMVP against Lebron and neither did Kawhi and it was a similar case with Pippen. His performance gets overrated because he had the benefit of being able to focus only on defense, while Mike had to carry the scoring.
