Even so you're overestimating how many people know who Lebron is. Not many who don't follow NBA basketball outside the US know about him.

Internationally, I think Michael Jackson eclipsed Elvis. As far as fame goes, Beatles are probably #1 of all time. I don't they've been surpassed yet. That's a hard one to compare though, because a lot of peoplel know of them as a band, but don't necessarily know the individual members. So if you ask a bunch of random people, they'll say they know who the Beatles are, but a lot of them probably don't know who Paul McCartney is. So I'd say from that angle, Michael Jackson probably has any of the Beatles beat as individuals.
