With a lot of Kobe slander of late, I thought I'd make an appreciation thread.

Kobe's diversified offense and off-ball game made it harder for defenses to shut him down. His numbers largely maintained from the regular season into the playoffs. Playing off the ball also made it easier for him to fit alongside other talents.

kobes era just had better defense in the finals

iteray had the same production as in the RS year-in-year-out.

lma game was touted "payoff made" once upon as we for his midrange.

in the end you just deiver or not.

Harden and Giannis have had superior runs and highs with their non taior made games.

Kobe had some great playoff runs. Notable ones include '01, '08, '09, and '10.

Offensive diversity is something you can't see on a regular box score. Nor the ability to collapse the defense off the ball and create open looks and opportunities for teammates.

In today's game, I can see Kobe having 60%+ TS seasons on significant scoring volume. The increased floor spacing, the freedom of movement rule, and improved shot selection. By simply replacing long two's with threes, Kobe's efficiency raises notably.

Kobe shot 33% from 3.

That's more efficient than his numbers from the mid-range. Kobe took a lot of 20ft+ long two-pointers. He'd increase his shooting efficiency by stepping back and turning those shots into three-pointers.

Kobe shot respectable 3pt numbers in his prime. He shot 34.9% on 4.8 3PA from 2003 to 2010. Also, consider the difficulty of the shots. He had a tendency to take difficult ones. He also took a lot of pull-up threes.

If OFF BALL means: op made his game robust :
In other words you are saying , he gets the ball and tells everyone to clear out ... if that makes him Robust , I'd say 160 NBA players can be robust to , by saying CLEAR OUT.:facepalm

No. No. He DID let her. Kobe's attorneys made it clear that right as he was about to bust, he noticed her withdraw consent and stopped IMMEDIATELY. He then let her go and jerked himself off in the sink. That's exactly how it went down.

Kobe has the dumbest shot selection in NBA history though, you can't fix that mentality.

Still won him 5 championships who cares and he proved he could of won without shaq. Kobe didnt need much to win. A much better player in his prime than people(in hindsight) give him credit for

Didn't need much to win? You know unless he had a current All-NBA teammate he never finished higher than a 7 seed or won a playoff series.

I'd say he needed a lot to win, seeing as without another top 15 player next to him he did nothing of note.
