Bleeding the people for every dime. I understand the motivations(reducing drinking, insane vendor spot fees, and all that) and how they get away with it and all so don’t bother explaining it….I get it. Just the bottom line is so ridiculous….
Popcorn aside is there a food product on earth that provides the profit margin of event drinks?

Where was that? :oldlol:
I'm not a beer guy so I don't pay attention to beer prices but that seems really excessive.

The rose bowl I think. A beer at a Celtics game costs 17.28. Cavs beer is cheapest at 5.28.

I have literally never ordered a beer at a sporting event before, food and beverage you have no choice, but I’m not paying over $15 for a beer, FOH :lol A complete rip off

That's just nasty lol, $19 a pop for beer is disgusting. Can't do shit about it in sporting events though, you gotta pay unless you want to drink beforehand to save.

it’s always been like this. it is what it is. if it’s really that big of a problem for you pre drink or sneak a pint of liquor in. then buy a few beers to sip on or something.
Yikes, probably even worse than the most developed airport/airliner in the world. :oldlol:

The rose bowl is a special event so maybe they feel like it's ok to price gouge.

As OP mentioned, it’s probably about minimizing booze intake. Notice the soda and bottled water are simply ‘expensive,’ not ‘wtf expensive.’
Im sure teams would just as soon lower the alcohol cost and profit even more on the extra purchases. But theres just too much liability nowadays. And so many belligerent hee haws in the stands ready to fight everyone around them the moment they get liquored up.

It is a bit high for water, but if you buy a bottle of water at a bar it’s like 2-3 bucks, and a beer is anywhere from 5-8. Much less of a difference between 5 and 18.
