Quite a few people were. Bill Sharman for one said baskets were so easy to get fans had nothing to cheer for.

I don’t know that this style is as enjoyed as the nba probably thinks it is.

I don't like it either but people acting like the NBA has never been a high scoring league before are ignoring 60s and 80s. The 90s-2000s weren't normal. There are multiple things Silver should do to give defenses more of a shot but I guarantee he will do nothing. Gonna have to wait for a better commissioner.

Agreed but it's cyclical. Same thing is happening in the NFL with QB ratings down across the board. Make a small tweak like corners being able to grab a little more and we're back in business.

I assume the NBA will do something similar.

Next 60 point game will tie this season and last with the entire decade of the 80s. And Wilt aside there were only 5 in the 60s.

The ease with which players have previously legendary performances is even greater than the 60s and 80s aside from the obvious outlier of Wilt who destroys all comparisons so history generally pretends he didnt happen.
