Shout out to basketball, amazing game.
As a small aside to this topic, there's a couple things I'd like to share with you guys.
As some of you know, I'm always looking for ways to combine creativity/entertainment with goals that legitimately contribute to society.
To that extent, I've launched a couple projects recently that I'd like to make you aware of.
The first is called "Clean Up//Those Jokes" which is my plan seek out areas with built up litter around town and get it cleaned up, while telling all the jokes I've ever heard (that I can remember) throughout my life. I'll record installments and release them as videos that hopefully inspire others to do some good for the environment and keep a sense of humor about things. If I can raise some money from it I'd like to eventually produce a standup comedy album of my own original material. This is the Patreon page (https://www.patreon.com/CleanUpThoseJokes). If you do join it I'd be happy to discuss anything about current events, investing, philosophy, sports betting, etc. You dont have to identify yourself if you feel weird about it, or if you'd like to that'd be fine with me. I don't care which player you like or what your politics are or if we had beef in the past. This is basically just about the environment, community, and networking. So swing on thru and gimme a shout if it pleases ya!
The other thing is I'm pursuing seed capital to invest in green American factories, starting with a revival of my old shaving startup, now branded as "BLADE IN AMERICA!" This is another important environmental/economic venture. To stop shipping raw materials across the pacific just to be manufactured, then ship them all the way back. It's wasteful on energy, and creates a lot of economic volatility when we're depending on increasingly unstable countries for our everyday consumer goods. With today's technology there's no reason we can't bring clean factories to America and produce our own goods while maintaining competitive prices and providing good jobs to American workers. There's really no reason we SHOULDNT be doing this, it's just a matter of getting enough public support to convince investors, distributors etc that it's viable. My GoFundMe account for that is here. (https://www.gofundme.com/f/seed-capital-for-green-merican-razor-factory)
These are not jokes or scams or anything like that. You guys all know me, I've been posting here for years, I'm legitimately working on these things because it's always been important to me to do things that I believe matter. That's how I want to make my living. So any support I receive is incredibly meaningful to me.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say about basketball.
Your thoughts?
Serious responses only :yaohappy:
