If you could go back and pick one player from the 80's who would fit todays game, who would it be?

It would almost be easier to list the stars who wouldn’t translate because even the ones who couldn’t shoot by today’s standards were pretty hard to keep away from the basket and that’s when they were used to two or three people being between them and the rim instead of everyone having to guard someone at the three-point line.
Forget the elites. Give Nique the ball like we do Giannis with no enforced dribbling rules and spaced out floors?

We know he was a wild athlete but he had serious touch on floaters and runners and a nasty post game like we see Luka take advantage of.
You can’t guard Nique one on one then or now when you can’t send help without giving up an open 3.
Hed go right 28 times and piss you off they couldn’t stop it and he’d bed harder to prevent from doing it now.
The only guys who would struggle are post specialists who couldn’t move their feet. Can’t be a one on one post scoring specialists and slow in this league. Not as a star.
But the wings and guards? All of them would translate fine.

Bird is too easy a choice, so I'll go with Michael Cooper.

Danny Ainge coming off screens and shooting would fit well in today's game. Just needs a nice facilitator to feed him.
