Who is the most hopeless team in the NBA? And why?
Not just this season, but year after year, most seasons.
And seriously, is there a reason why? Ineffective GM? Owners who make the wrong hires? Team plays in a city players don't want to live in? Why?

Wizards. Not sure exactly why, but it wouldn't suprise me if they don't win a championship...ever.

Charlotte.
They’ve had three 50 win seasons in their history (50, 51, and 54) and none since 98. Haven’t won a playoff series since 02 and have only made the playoffs at all 3 times since then, being swept in 2 of them. Worst team of all time in 2012.

Lakers won 16 titles yet missed the playoffs two of the last 4 years and lost in round 1 for the winniest organization in league history.

If we sweep past success aside and only take the current or last few generations of rosters then I feel Philly is even worse. They already had talent good enough to win and still couldn't make it happen. We don't know what would happen to the Wizards if they draft some ATG talent. Same for the kings.
Clippers fall in the same vein as the Sixers. Ever since Paul's arrival they had good enough rosters to compete. Always fell short.

Are you saying the sixers are bad as the wizards? At least the sixers seem to contend generationally. They have moments like going to the finals in 2001. Then suffered from the mid 2000s to the mid 2010s, but for the last three years seem to be in the chase even if they fall short. The wiz have been constant mediocrity since forever.
My Lakers. We have no picks left. Lebron is already 38, AD is the softest player ever and will miss all the important games every single season and on top of that our roster is the worst of them all full of rejects that no one wants.
We will go back to being every single year the worst team in the NBA like we were before Lebron arrived -.-.

I'm glad to see that you finally understand that no AD, no playoffs.

Considering expectations, fanbase size, historical relevance, it has to be the Knicks. **** sake Julius Randle is your franchise player

Another vote for the Wizards. They try to make win now moves but they never work so they are stuck on the treadmill year after year. They havent had a 50 win season since the 70s.

wizards have a somewhat decent top 3 this year too and now beal is injury prone. At least they're considering trading kuzma but I think you gotta sell high on porzingis too

I am confused? Is there a second Anthony Davis on the Lakers? The only one i know has a 14-22 record without Lebron with the Lakers and a 5-9 record in the playoffs in his WHOLE career without Lebron lol. Never won a ring without Lebron, never went to the playoffs with the Lakers without Bron and was basically a loser for years before joining James. Pat frking Bev has a better resume than the only AD i know…
So, could you please tell me how many times did this other AD made the playoffs without James on the Lakers and how many rings he won without Bron?

No, I'm not saying the are as bad. I'm saying they're more hopeless. They have (had) championship talent, but I don't see them winning it. The Wizards didn't have that since they actually won. The Sixers are hopeless in the sense that even when they're good enough on paper they still can't win. I think that's more hopeless than straight up sucking.

wrong --- but they give you hope , and then something happens as it has this season.
Washington years ago had a good pedigree as well as kings.....
But Orlando - after Penny and Shaq - they have been toilet wipes for decades .
