If he scored instead of passing on 5 of his 13 assists he has double digit scoring but the team has less points(he assists on quite a few threes). Is that preferable?

Imagine a starter you can’t play in the 4th quarter

Op isn't very bright.

Then again, he is a bronie, so we expect no different

No, but I do not think that is the discussion anyway.

It is preferable for Ben to take the shots that are good shots for him in the flow of the offense. That adds value.

Is anyone arguing for him to ignore Seth to jack up his own contested jumper?

The problem is that by being no threat at all on offense, it provides holes for the other team to exploit.

One of the game commentators said it well. He said something along the lines of "with Simmons completely unable to score, it's like the Nets are playing a 4 on 5 game on offense." I think it's a valid point.

Not having to worry about someone at all when they don't have the ball is surely at least somewhat of an issue, yea?

He should have been a PG (only if he was a lot smaller).
