I mean outside of being Elvis' daughter and briefly Michael Jackson's wife, what has she really accomplished outside of some poorly reviewed albums she put out.

Kobe Bryant's death was particularly tragic for us basketball fans because he became an important part of our lives through his career. He provided entertainment, inspiration, and even served as a role model. I cried, we all cried, but many non basketball fans could not relate to the sadness over a person who we did not know personally.

So even though we as basketball fans were not very familiar with Lisa Marie Presley, we should treat her death with respect, because we felt the pain and have the experience to know just how sick to their stomachs her fans must be feeling at this very moment.

Such famous deaths can be particularly impactful for people because of the cultural significance of the person's work and the influence they have had on many people's lives. The death of a celebrity can serve as a reminder of our own mortality and can spark feelings of empathy and connection with others who are also mourning the loss.

Celebrity deaths can also elicit feelings of nostalgia and remind us of a specific time in our own lives that was connected to that person's work. All of these factors can contribute to feeling compassion for a celebrity whose death we were not personally familiar with.

We might have not been very familiar with Lisa Marie Presley, but how many people here are old enough to remember when Elvis brought a baby into the world? Surely her death can take you back to that moment, that time, that era.

She looked really unwell during the Golden Globes 2 days before her death. She's also been very open about her drug and alcohol addiction and it doesn't help that the Presley family has a history of heart problems. RIP

The other day, I couldn't quite remember the exact thread to which this potential "slay of the year" belonged. Because I wanted to tell highwhey that the reason he receives so many "slay of the year" nominations is simply because he puts himself out there. Kind of like a player who challenges every dunk. And that deserves respect. He says that it's because I pick them. But no, it's because he puts himself out there, continuously, relentlessly. And that makes all of the difference. This is exactly what I meant in one of my previous posts. The slay from Patrick Chewing took place on January 14, 2023 and warriorfan saw it for the first time ever over six months later, because it occurred in the less frequented Off the Court Lounge. (And had the thread not been bumped, he wouldn't have seen it at all.)

That's why I believe it's going to win the slay of the year, because of its overwhelming reaction despite its great visibility disadvantage.

I think Axe might be highwhey.

highwhey seems to be ignoring this thread. Perhaps because he feels that the slay by Patrick Chewing happened at his expense. And it's very rare for Axe not to respond after someone mentions his name. That's very out of character. There's a reason as to why he's closing in at 35,000 posts (when you factor in the ones he got deleted).

So perhaps it is true that they are the same person. Thus why Axe has ignored the mention of his name.
