This is your fourth thread on last night's game. While most of us have moved on hours ago, you're still celebrating this like it's the only thing you have to be happy about in your sad pathetic f*cked up life.

Hope Mavs can get Luka a star teammate and if he can adapt his game to another star.

Kyrie would be a perfect fit, if Nets don’t resign but agree. He’s got some good tertiary and complimentary pieces but a legit second option who is a perennial all star would take Dallas to another level.

Agreed on everything but the Kyrie part.

Luka is a ball dominant guard like MJ and Kobe. His ideal compliment is a Pippen/Odom type IMO. Someone like a Jimmy Butler or Paul George, or to a more modest extent an Aaron Gordon or Franz Wagner. Right now the Mavs are filling that role by committee with DFS and Kleber etc. but those guys are better as role players than second options obviously.

Kyrie has awful defense and no concern for winning or being part of the team. And I'm pretty sure he would sabotage Luka for the same reasons you sabotage the reputation of LeGOAT ;)

You haven’t been watching Kyrie Irving then. He’s actually been really good defensively this year.

And no, Kyrie is perfect for a ball dominant, stat stuffing player, like Luka.

He’s basically like a light years better All Star / HOF version of Spencer, Dinwiddie, and Jalen Brunson.

If Kyrie was able to be the dagger to win LeBron his championship in Cleveland, he’s even better now, and could definitely help a guy like Luka, who gets his stats in more impactful ways with less ball dominant dribble energy, he’s more efficient. And he’s a way better clutch player than LeBron was at the same age.

Those two would be a dynamic fit. And unlike LeBron, Luka isn’t the cowardly backstabbing type to be trying to orchestrate trades of Kyrie, only for him to catch wind of it, and demand to be moved. Luka isn’t playing GM for Dallas.

LeBron wasn’t a good defender on his second stint in Cleveland, either. So they would def have to get defensive pieces around Luka and Kyrie, just like Cleveland had two in both go around a with LeBron. And the way the Lakers needed them to help LeBron in 2020.

Basketball is primarily won on the defensive end. That’s one of the reasons the Lakers have been so trash the past couple years.

Kyrie can't win with anyone besides LeBron.

Well but isnt that the whole argument people make as to why Kyrie was necessary in 2016? To be the “closer” in the “clutch?”

Luka is insanely clutch (learned it from LeClutch obviously) and actually Dinwiddie has largely been clutch for the Mavs too in last minute situations. So the biggest thing Kyrie brings is something Dallas doesnt have much use for. So I personally think it’s a safer bet to make upgrades elsewhere than risk Kyrie’s baggage coming back to bite them.

I mean if they can sign him for the minimum next year, sure, take a flyer on him. But in terms of giving up assets or committing long term? Not worth it IMO.

It's probably in homage to possibly top ten of all time Lebron James. He himself asked us all to keep up that same energy.

What this thread shows me is how hurt OP was the way LeBron has been dominating these last couple of weeks. He let out all of his frustrations after this game.
