I expect both of them to be traded before the nba trading deadline. I think Gobert is going to be a good fit for the Atlanta Hawks.

The all nba third team center(and he wasn’t even that last year and won’t be this year either it seems) has not been someone you’d call a star since 2013 Dwight. It’s been Andre Drummond, Chandler, Deandre Jordan, Al Horford, and so on. Well I guess you can call KAT and Al Jefferson stars. But elite players?
No all nba third team center has been elite in like 15 years. I’m talking Yao Ming.
That said you still don’t trade him for Collins.

Gobert over Yao any day. Yao was a liability on D, not a great rebounder and not aggressive enough and I love me some Yao. I'd call Al an inefficient black hole who was also a defensive liability. Drummond's teams didn't win for some reason despite how great he was. Jordan played with the goat pg and an otherwise loaded team. Gobert was the best player on a good team.
I look at two way guys. Gobert, prime Howard and Horford. The rest aren't in the conversation

Drummond was great? I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.

Minnie can't do that if for no other reason than the huge package they traded to get Gobert to begin with. They gave up a whole potential rotation. No all of those picks don't normally become solid players but it was a lot of picks plus a few useful players. Really crazy trade.

You really not gonna comment on him calling Chris Paul the GOAT PG? I love CP3 but lol. Not to mention Gobert over Yao lmfao

Ok and.
I'm not hating on Rudy I have more patience then most. I feel like if it doesn't gel next year then changes have to be made.

Hawks might add some first or 2nd round draft picks. Gobert might be a perfect for Atlanta. They need him against the Joel Embiid.

if you are one that looks at scoring I guessI'll use Marc Gasol as an example. 2 way center who's more of a 15 ppg guy than a 20 ppg guy. You can't leave a 6'6" guy(exceptions are out there ofc i.e Draymond Green who is an exceptional defender) on him and go small since he actually has a post game, and you can't sag off of him because he has a reliable jumper. You can also expect him to make the right pass, something else Gobert just can't do for you. So it's not just stats like ppg, it's how you force the defense to play you.

Screens, rim gravity, offensive rebounding are also important. Jazz had the best offense in the league last year. Impacts both ends

By your logic Clippers DeAndre Jordan was an elite two way player since he was a great screen setter, offensive rebounder and was the best lob threat in the entire league and also lead the league in offensive rating

yep and with Gobert's D and rebounding they would be one of the top teams in the league

Your initial argument is that Gobert heavily contributed to the teams offense.
Screens, rim gravity, offensive rebounding are also important. Jazz had the best offense in the league last year. Impacts both ends
Once it was brought up that the offense is still elite (even without Mitchell too) you're now moving the goalposts and talking about his defensive and rebounding impact.
Stop it.

30 minutes a game and he wasn't a huge part of the #1 offense? They are a different team now. I don't really compare them.
