His fouls and TOs are up. His assist, steal and blocks are down. He's nowhere as efficient in scoring as past seasons.

Is it fair to say he's starting to go downhill? He's only 28 but he relies a lot on athleticism. Dwight Howard was around 27-28 when he started to sharply decline.

For his ridiculous standards from the past 4 years, sure, this could be considered a slight down year for him. Which is pretty scary to say when the guys still averaging 31/12/5 and has his team as the 2nd seed.

Nah I think he's just chasing the 30PPG club and the third MVP.

Averaging 31/12/5/1/1 and you're asking if he's declining :oldlol: Honestly shows just how insanely great he is

I don't think so. Sometimes you're missing more free throws. I think Khris being out hurts.

He had a stretch a couple weeks ago nobody had done since Wilt in like 64.

Dwight declined at that age because of back surgery and he didn't have the skillset to compensate for reduced athleticism.

Bad knees…. Yes, even Superman can’t escape genes. Dude has had bad knees like his whole life. Be thankful we at least got to witness his peak for the 3 or 4 years we did. Some people we only got to see their peak for half a season (cough penny)

I think he's reached that point where he doesn't go all out in the regular season anymore, especially since his team can stay afloat without him.

No, because as you get older you prioritize health and long term goals more. The regular season is just a training ground. The concept of "coasting" seeps in more.

Mahomes is better now than 4 years ago when he won his 1st MVP. But his stats were better then.

Thru experience Giannis is naturally continuing to get better at the most important aspects of the game, which are illuminated during playoff basketball.

Khris Middleton needs to step up and take pressure off Giannis.
