Gambling this much when you're already quite having a good career is really bad, still.

Franzese Taking it back or not (Mike prolly paid him to lol), every single Italian American or Jewish American with mafia connections in chicago speaks about this fairly casually with surety.

Mike played golf with a bunch of them for ridiculous amounts of money after the first 3-peat, same ones he placed bets with on lots of things, including his own games to give him extra motivation against phoenix whenever he got drained late in the game.

Mike was stupid and thought he had juice in the real world tho. Even the greatest athlete of all time, adored by countless chiefs of various folks & people sets … has zero juice compared to Jewish mafia (still got chicago) and Italian mafia (Rico statutes did them in and they don’t have much juice in chicago anymore)

Anyways, Mike insisted on double or nothing way too long and then refused to pay up despite being worth 50 million more than any gambling debt could ever be …. mike was THAT competitive. He was playing IRL chicken over skins debt.

So they didn’t want to go double or nothing anymore, and were tired of being disrespected by a pro athlete. It’s embarrassing. They were very patient and forewarned him many times and Mike genuinely thought they wouldn’t do sh!t, because he was too high profile. They gave him very very serious warnings before they had their Florida Jewish mob friends arrange for it. Had to look black on black and like an accident. Jewish mob made sure their friends in media, who were at the time working on consolidating ownership of all television stations thru a pending act: Bill Clinton’s “Telecommunications Act” … made sure all televised coverage of the tragedy framed it as a black on black robbery gone wrong.

Not surprising. I have suspected something like that for a while.

This is why the 90's were the worst era in NBA history. You had the NBA (and NBC) fix six titles for this guy, and he is so out of control with his gambling that his actions may or may not have led to the death of his father. It's sad that a lot of people worship this jerk.

Michael’s dangerously bad gambling problem was an extension of his extreme competitiveness. It wasn’t gambling for its own corrupt sake. It was a high stakes tool to fuel peak competitive nature possible in the game of basketball. Which I believe peaked in the 90’s (Bulls vs Knicks)

I would argue no other players maybe besides prime Kobe ever truly came close to the intensity of competitiveness in Michael & Larry.

Sure, Kobe came along and did almost exactly what Michael did, with a slightly longer reach and longer stride, which made it slightly more perfectly aesthetically brilliant. But Kobe’s shooting percentages were never equal with Mike’s.

Larry didn’t have the picture perfect athleticism, didn’t have picture perfect beautiful form, and personally, he was ugly as dirt, so his appeal to female and DL fans was very minimal, unlike Mike or Kobe. But Larry’s killer instinct and competitive nature was only matched by Michael. Kobe came in 3rd all time among the greats, for sheer indomitable competitive mind state.

The 90’s were a very special time for basketball’s evolution. The 80’s rivalry between Magic and Larry was probably 2nd most important to make the nation fall back in love with basketball. But the 90’s … Probably the most important decade of all. Prime Michael, Prime Barkley, the DREAM TEAM, Prime Knicks, prime Olajuwon, Prime Stockton & Malone, Prime Robinson, Shaq, Penny, and young Kobe, young Vince & Tracey, young Iverson ? …

…Michael’s compulsive intensely competitive gambling addiction doesn’t take away from the fact that he is the greatest, most talented individual to ever play basketball.

LeBron’s milestones will be better (due to starting at 18, and taking all the PED’s he could get away with), Kobe’s aesthetic perfection took exactly the blueprint Michael showed the world, and did it even more beautifully. But nobody yet has truly rivaled his all around greatness. He just fu@ked up big time playing real life chicken with some mobsters.

The mob isn't dumb enough to hire two dim wit teenagers to murder the father of the most famous person in America/maybe the world.

If they did it, it would've been pros and they never would've gotten caught. The dumb kids who killed Jordan's dad have been trying for years to use every angle possible (including trying to pin more of the crime on the other guy) to get out of jail. They two would sing like birds if there was anyone else involved in what they did.

Most of the conpiracies about Jordan's fathers death and his 1st retirement are actually pretty stupid. The NBA gives no ****s if MJ was gambling all day, every day either, he was their no.1 cash cow and with Magic and Bird retiring in 91 and 92 respectively, the last thing the NBA needed was Jordan to also retire in 93.

No way would they do that unless he was like literally caught on tape killing someone. Gambling at casinos and golf games is no big deal, even if it was on games (which it wasn't and MJ is too psychotic to bet against himself anyway), the NBA would've just buried that. Too much money from NBC, Nike, McDonalds, Gatorade/PepsiCo at stake too.

Charles Barkley gambled like a drunken sailor for years too, probably more than MJ in terms of debts, the NBA didn't do shit about it ... why? Because no one cares if multi-millionaires gamble on golf games or go to Vegas or Atlantic City or whatever.

Also the NBA 100% rigged the 1993 draft lottery for Orlando to win because they wanted Shaq's Magic to be the successor to the Bulls, they were already that worried about life without MJ at that point. The odds of them winning that lottery were so hilariously low it was obvious.

Ya makes sense. Also, he didn't have to be betting against himself. Could be betting on himself like Pete Rose was. It's sad what baseball did to Pete Rose.

Who knows what really went down, but there are definitely 2 things about the official narrative that don’t make sense.

Why would the father of the richest and most famous athlete in human history pull over and sleep on the side of the road? What average person even does that?

And if Jordan was so damn competitive why would he retire in his prime right before he could make history by being the first to 4 peat since Russel and the Celtics?

Whatever happened David Stern felt like he needed to check Jordan and tell him he’s not bigger than the league. You see that shit happen with famous artists, fighters, politicians, whoever. No matter how famous and powerful you are there are always suits above you pulling strings reminding fools who’s in charge.
