Maybe I went too far with the benchwarmer stuff but he's below-average outside of 3 ft and is also a mediocre FT shooter and he's not an ATG playmaker either. Saying he's better than Stockton "for sure" is going too far IMO. He's pretty much on par with what Tim Hardaway did his first 4 seasons.

He shot uncharacteristically well for his 2nd ring which is probably why most don’t remember him as a mediocre shooter.

As far as Stockton, it’s tough for me to see a case of him over Ja. Better career? Ofc, morants just getting started. I put Ja over him because Ja can do more on the court. Morant is closer to Stockton as a playmaker than Stockton is to him as a slasher.

The hardaway comparison’s not bad. I think he would have been better than Stockton as well if he had a chance at a healthy peak. Unfortunately his first step was never the same after that knee injury.
