Can we say that the Celtics have officially killed this Nets "dynasty?"

Though this could be a collusion thing where he gets himself traded to LA I think the Nets may be angry enough to not give in and cut off their nose to spite their face.

Durant and Irving to OKC for SGA and a shit ton of assets. Who says no?

I know logic doesn't apply to Kyrie, but I'm scratching my head trying to see his angle here. Like I said before, he had maintained a low profile since all that shit went down a couple months ago, has been playing extremely well, and when KD comes back would have a legit chance at a title.

What advantage is he looking to gain by doing this? I can't imagine any real contender will bite and risk him destroying their chemistry. It's honestly a very perplexing decision.

Possibly in collusion with James he could be trying to get to LA where he can get the max and won't have to face the Celtics.

If they are all in on James it makes a lot of sense. Sooner or later they will have a few bad years regardless but with James if AD and Irving stay healthy that is their best chance to win this season. There's no better possible move.

You said they were playing well. That is present tense. So I pointed out what is presently going on. I know that you are an idiot but... nevermind, you are an idiot.

I guess if you think a 24-28 team will win the championship is within reason to call 4-7 respectable.

Nets have more talent but two of their big three are headcases and really one of their big 3 isnt so big anymore.

The Nets are paying well. They have a good shot at the title this year. 4th best odds to win the title, even though theyre 4-7 in the last 11.

Can your peanut brain muster why that is?

Now you can act dense as you always do and minimize their season into this itte frame with KD out. Sure know no one is better at the dense act than you.

Again: you said they are playing well. That is present tense. So right now they are 4-7 in their last 11 and got beat down by some kind of record 43 points. This is how they are playing right now. This is present tense. Very simple.

There would be no reason for them to make that decision now, let alone inform him of it.

They can allow this season to play out and then make a decision. Even if they feel it's unlikely, there's no way they straight up told him while the team has been rolling since the coaching change "Hey Kyrie theres no way we're bringing you back."

Wouldnt make any sense.

fragile bitch cost the GOAT 2 rings:

Irving admitted recently that those Cavaliers would have won more titles if he had been more mature at the time, if he had spoken to LeBron rather than being closed off. Irving appeared on the latest “I Am Athlete” episode and opened up, as reported by Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

“If I was in the same maturity line and understanding of who I am, and I look back, we definitely, definitely would’ve won more championships, because there would’ve been a better man-to-man understanding about what I’m going through. I didn’t know how to share my emotions,” Irving said. “I didn’t know how to do that. So instead of sharing, I isolated myself.

Now here's the thing: if the Nets deal Irving they can't tank properly because they've already won a good amount of games and don't own their picks anyway. Making a deal makes a lot of sense for the Lakers but if the Nets are mad over how Irving's time there had gone... and that would be completely reasonable... they are going to want a lot for him and/or just have an attitude of "**** it."

He can walk for free to the Lakers in the offseason. LA just so happens to have Westbrook's 47m coming off their books. 2 FRPs and more beats nothing. Phoenix and Dallas might offer something that beats LA though.

Kyrie Irving
James Harden

Have all requested trades from the Nets in the last 13 months

I will never get over what a fcking difference this made.

The entire dynamic of the league, and most especially Brooklyn, is completely different if his foot is one inch behind the line.

If they are all in on James it makes a lot of sense. Sooner or later they will have a few bad years regardless but with James if AD and Irving stay healthy that is their best chance to win this season. There's no better possible move.

Agree they should go all-in. James might pull a Brady and play another 5 years with a core of Davis and Irving :lol

Such is life. Everything is always exponentially building off of other things in ways that we can't even perceive. Although this one is rather obvious, in hindsight, yes.

He can walk for free to the Lakers in the offseason. LA just so happens to have Westbrook's 47m coming off their books. 2 FRPs and more beats nothing. Phoenix and Dallas might offer something that beats LA though.

And if he signs there that's his business but it doesn't mean the Nets have to facilitate that right now. What's a first round pick from a team with James Davis and Irving really worth? Is this significant value knowing that Durant doesn't want to play with Westbrook and will be the next to demand a trade? The Nets are screwed. In their position I'm not going to make things easier for Irving after I paid him 100+ millions to screw up my franchise year after year.

The two FRPs 2027 and 2029. Could be very valuable - LeBron will be 42 and 44; AD will be 33 and 37. The Durant situation is a concern, and that I agree. Any decision they make regarding Kyrie will influence his decision.

I honestly think Brooklyn will cave to Kyrie's demands. This is all just smoke and mirrors.

They world basically be praying for AD to have bad ankles. That's not something you want to be in the position to hour for. And you are again ignoring all what they have paid to Irving and what he has given them in return. They have to be pissed. Their plans have been completely ruined. Don't expect them to be cool with that.

Nets ain't trading for Westbrick. Durant already left that scrub. Trading for him would just upset Durant who carries rhe franchise by himself. Would be an all-time dumb move... they'd be worse immediately with him and it would force Durant out. Pls people stop bringing this up as a viable possibility.

why would anyone have to pray for Davis to have bad ankles? The chances of him being healthy are slim to none. Never seen an old guy like Lebron get healthier as they age

yea there's potential lakers do it. Phx can offer better I doubt they do it and they obviously want to wait and see what durant does. James/AD/Kyrie even with a trash roster outside them is a superteam on paper and should scare anyone. Stuff like this is why teams can vastly overrate how long their window is. Your own players can regress and league changes so quickly now. Hawks thought they had an long window after 2021 now they're floundering even with a more talented roster

2 FRP is better than losing Kyrie for free. Kyrie will easily tell any team trading for him, that he wont resign. So no one will trade first-round picks for half a year rental Kyrie.

It will be the Lakers 2 FRP, or nothing for the Nets.

Hawks were a Trae injury away from probably being in the finals (at least IMO) and maybe a championship and they will never get close to that again without significant changes. Life comes at you fast.

KD and Russ back together in Brooklyn.

What a twist that would be.

Nothing is better if they keep dursnt. They'll have cap space to sign a better player who isn't a phycho

Trading for westbrick guarantees Durant leaves. With durant you still have a window to actually win instead of starting all over

yea I've seen fans of teams like say like the grizzlies kings even nuggets who have taken the we're young so have a long window and it just usually doesnt work out that way. There's a lot of parity this year, if you can upgrade talent or fix a flaw you should go for it this year imo. Even for nuggets who look pretty dominant, if you can upgrade from mpj I would do it.

MPJ was looking like he was gonna be a stud the last full season he had. Not sure what’s going on this year with him he’s been much less impressive. Still very big impact on offense.

backup center shouldnt be too hard but they've been in some og rumors. They should definitely go for that though likely dont have enough. if portland retools, I think replacing mpj with grant should be an option too.

I doubt Lebron and Davis are on Lakers roster in 2027. I think both will be retired. Davis will pull an Andrew Luck due to the injuries. Kyrie would probably be gone by 2027. That is why the picks are very valuable

I don't think Kyrie Irving solves the Lakers' problems. They will still have no depth, no shooting, and no defense. They will be a better team for sure, but even if all 3 stars stay healthy, where's the rest of the team?

edit: to Dallas.
