Sure, the defense is a concern. But you know what? An improved half-court offense sets the defense up for success. Being able to score baskets limits transition and semi-transition opportunities. The offensive rating for a play that follows a made basket is much lower.

I could see them making it out the West. It'll be tough, but this is a powerful pairing. It'll be interesting to see what other moves are made. The buyout market is a consideration.

I was thinking moreso a possible first round match with the Clippers, but that depends on if Kawhi is healthy ( a giant IF, to be sure) and if they stay in the 4th/5th spots. I wouldn't declare with any certainty that Dallas wins that( especially if on the road), and I'm very much in wait and see mode with Kyrie.
