Westbrook, Payton, Nash & Dwight come to mind.

Wilt was a huge disappointment in '69, but at least he won a title in '72. Don't know where to rank him.

Another big name that didn't really work out for the Lakers and never gets mentioned is Adrian Dantley.

Nash was awful, but he was also like 39 with back injuries.

We all knew Westbrook would be bad coming in, and we were proven right.

How could it be considered disappointing when everyone, besides the Lakers apparently lol, knew it was an absolutely horrendous trade. LeBron & Westbrook were never going to make it work, and his lack of shooting/turnovers/atrocious end of game decision making was always going to be an albatross around the Lakers neck.

It's like Jets fans asking if Adam Gase was the most disappointing coaching hire, when like Westbrook, literally everybody knew, besides the Jets front office, it was a completely terrible hire.

Most of these moves were veterans to support a former championship core that was starting to fall off. Lakers when healthy still looked like a title team in 2021 so on paper this move wasted a year and a half of lebron/ad. I say Dwight was more disappointing, he was supposed to be a franchise cornerstone

Westbrook didn't exactly come in and break up a championship team. If you ain't klutch, you gotta go

The man was brought in to be a scapegoat. And he fulfilled that destiny :lol

He wasn't good. But this wasn't a team he could have succeeded in on no matter what. LeBron was not gonna sacrifice his stats and his goathood just so Westbrook could find his footing.

To be honest it was Westbrook who should have sacrificed. You wanted LeBron to sacrifice so Westbrook could take even more dumb shots?

Westbrook has some good in his game, at the moment the only thing he has going for him is his passing ability. As a scorer, his days are numbered, he can't shoot at all and makes dumb decisions, he should have realized this sooner and played more like Rondo.

Westbrook did sacrifice a lot. LeBron needed to sacrifice something for the team to win anything as presently constructed.... And he didn't. He chose himself over helping anyone succeed.

Lol at play like rondo... Yeah sure. Maybe don't get rid of rondo. There are no good role players on the team like there were when rondo was around. Either 1 way players or other non shooters.

He’s too 10 in assists this season. He’s def good and can help a team win.

He was always a terrible fit in LA due to his lack of shooting. It’s like needing more vegetables in your diet so you go and buy a steak and then blame the steak for your poor health. Westbrook is clearly not the issue in LA

Well, we'll find out if he was the issue. The Lakers got a shooter now, so if they win a championship than he was the problem.

I'm just grateful he is gone.

Soft Dwight Howard was the Lakers biggest disapointment.

Not as high as LeBarry

Bubble aside, dude sold the farm and the future of the Lakers, whilst he can't even make the playoffs.

It's embarrassing for the franchise...

I know how REAL Laker fans feel about this fraud

Almost as disappointing as LeBum's been to the Lakers. At least Westbrook didn't destroy the future of the team. :lol
