Pretty much, the one saving grace may be that cp3 usually doesnt go soft until the very end/clutch time, which is when Durant can be somewhat useful.

If they encounter any adversity I expect they will fold like a stacking chair, but if they can simply blow teams away with talent they may have a shot.

I'll take the current Celtics and Nuggets just because of their depth and what they can do defensively. Milwaukee if healthy is just about even with those guys as well because of their advantage in the paint. Booker and KD is a hell of a duo though so I'm excited to see how that plays out. Suns love their mid-range shots and they just added the best mid-range scorer in the league. I would be as excited as you had they managed to keep Bridges over Ayton but no one would trade for that contract.

Damn... this caught me so off guard. I kinda gave up on KD coming here after we failed to get him in the offseason and was content with keeping our young core into the future. I guess we're going all-in for a chip right now.

I'm happy for D Book. The highest PPG scorer he's ever played with before this was literal Eric Bledsoe. He's never played with someone like KD. That's gonna be one deadly duo. Also gonna take a lot of defensive pressure off CP3.

Gonna miss Mikal and Cam Johnson a ton. The 2 biggest fan favorites(aside from Book) on the team. Hope they ball out in Brooklyn. Glad to see the 2 "twins" at least go together to the same team. It will hurt more of we don't manage to win a chip, since we gave up a big chunk of our future. If only we had drafted Tyrese Haliburton, the future would look a lot more secure after this deal. No it's not. Suns love the mid-range and they added another high-volume mid-range scorer. The talent level isn't even comparable as outside of KD all the pieces are inferior to what the Warriors had, including the coaching staff. There's no Klay Thompson to space the floor for KD and Booker. There's no Draymond Green on defense. Suns have 2 All-Star level players in total. Chris Paul is 1-2 years away from being forced into a retirement home. They currently don't have enough depth so you're asking a lot of our of their "Big 4" because they're going to have to play a shitload of minutes just to guarantee a top 6 spot (they're within 2 games of all the Play-In teams) and that's before the real gauntlet begins.

Warriors were still elite when KD was injured. This Suns team will rely heavily on Durant's production and even then they're going to face teams that have a superstar that can match his output with better help around them (Nuggets, Celtics, Bucks, even Sixers) , barring injuries to every single contender in the league. Suns need CP3 to play like he did in the first round against the Pels and if he's closer to the guy we saw against Dallas in the Semis, they don't have a realistic chance of winning a title if they play a healthy Nuggets/Celtics/Bucks team.

Nah, people will always throw that comparison around, but I doubt we'll ever see another Warriors situation the rest of our lives, or even in league history. Two top 15 players ever, another All-NBA/All-Defensive player to give them 3 of the 10 greatest shooters ever, then another All-NBA player who was the DPOY, all in the heart of their primes, with a, deserved or not, FMVP off the bench. That was a once in a lifetime situation where a 73 win team was able to sign a top 15 player ever while not losing any of their core players.

This Suns team is for sure very talented, but c'mon, the Warriors would smash this team :lol We won't know how they'll look until we see them play together. They'll have to endure the growing pains of learning to play together, and they lost a ton of depth and good defenders, and you can't exactly trust KD or CP3 to remain healthy.
