Dallas can play many different players at many different spots:
PG
LUKA
KYRIE
HARDY
HARDAWAY
SG
KYRIE
HARDAWAY
LUKA
GREEN
BULLOCK
SF
BULLOCK
LUKA
GREEN
HARDAWAY
BERTANS
PF
WOOD
KLEBER
POWELL
BERTANS
MORRIS
C
POWELL
KLEBER
MCGEE
WOOD
All depends on what matchup they’re facing.
McGee and his 7’6” wingspan will come in VERY handy in playoff series, for rim protecting, catching 1/2court PNR lobs from BOTH LUKA & KYRIE, and running the floor against slow centers like Zubac/Nurkic/returning-from-injury-Adams/etc
Kleber will also come in very handy in the playoffs. People act like Dallas D was mostly Finney Smith. Kleber is an incredible and versatile defender inside and outside.

i dont know if Mcgee still has it in him.He does.
But only for 18-24 mpg
For all Javale's past laughable mistakes, he's a fun teammate, good role player, and has attributes you cant coach in a fairly rare combination;
Son is almost 7'1" with a 7'6" wingspan, and can run the floor almost like a small forward.
He also has fairly decent 1-2 dribble long stride longer-twilight-Amare like finishing ability.

Yeh Javale is good, not sure if still. How old is he? 34 now? His rim protection not as good as before maybe.

Everything for Dallas will hinge on Maxi Kleber getting and remaining healthy. If he can't go their defense will get annihilated.

It all depends on if McGee can actually contribute enough on defense against Ayton and other big centers like Zubac.
Last playoffs they got around that by Luka isolating the centers in the washing machine. Now they have Kyrie to do this as well.
I think they will still struggle against Clippers. Kawhi is Luka kryptonite and if he can stay on the floor, then I don't see why not. Plus Clippers have Zubac who is a beast.
Overall, depends on matchups, can be anything from a first round to a finals for Mavs.

the clippers dont have good defenders at guard besides mann and kawhi cant guard luka for a whole game, he doesnt have that motor anymore. It wont be an easy matchup but clippers should be worried about the mavs for sure.

try this on for size :
Kyrie is in his last year of a contract.
What happens if he rejoins KD in PHX , a plan they had constructed before Kyrie left Nets and Durants trade ???
that would really tip the scales for PHX as well as the NBA in general. 2,3 chips ??

it should be alarming that you have a PG coach and the position that you need the most depth at is also the position he played
