:oldlol: sad but undeniably true. I'm not even sure it only applies to big men. Nobody looks under the basket much nowdays. The sheer number of cuts missed when you're sitting watching the current game is mindblowing sometimes.

** looking at it again, maybe he can't make that pass?

While individual skill across the board is probably the highest it's ever been, team skill is degrading. I'm not sure if the coaches/trainers are to blame or if it's something else.

If he can’t make that pass, he shouldn’t be in the NBA. So many guards clearly did learn 3 or layup and live by it but they so often ignore that they don’t have to drive to get a layup. Sometimes a guy is right there to pass to for a layup and they get ignored at a rate I’ve never seen. Tunnel vision on these dudes.

or you can say why does he starts dribbling right after he catches the ball. but the big man looking for position was just as timid as the ball handler, didn't run full speed up to the ball, I mean, he was still on the other side of the rim.

He'd have to fight me during the next timeout for missing me. Charles Barkley used to be petty and get 3 second calls if he was open in the paint and his guards wouldn't give him the ball

It's never just one thing but the coaching is a big part and I'm fairly certain it's a systemic problem that extends all the way into AAU.

I agree that overall skill is higher than ever and team play has been diminished.

The NBA is probably less exciting to watch than ever, though I'm not sure the public at large necessarily agrees.

** looking at it again, maybe he can't make that pass?Maybe if it was me cutting, but an nba big who’s around 6’9 with a 30-35 inch vert should be able to climb the ladder for a lob.

Lol that's the Knicks in general. Dribble with head down and not find the open guy, randle RJ and less so for brunson but he does it as well

I'm confused as to why I don't know who is it with the ball. Sims has replaced Obi as the highest flyer on the team so maybe it was intentional.
