LeBron's playmaking is key. D'Angelo is more of a secondary facilitator.

This is what happens when you have good shooters and wing defenders!

I see Ham got his head out of his ass and didn't start Schroder.

Only took him until game 59 to not start two point guards :oldlol:

LeBron is key to the lakers success. Take LeBron out and they are a tanking team.

This is crazy to watch. LeBron can actually breath and not worry about carrying this team anymore now that Westbrick is gone.

Jesus, it's been a long time since the Lakers have played like this.

Just one game, but this is the best I've seen the Lakers play since their win over Milwaukee back in December. Just have to see if this is a fluke or if this is gonna be a better team the rest of the way.

You know ImKobe is somewhere crying that his boy Ingram just lost by 20 points to his "team".

May be one of the best mid-season non blockbuster trades of all time.

If Lakers stay healthy they genuinely can make a run. Problem is the Warriors are even more stacked than last year and Nuggets are ready to win the west.

I'm still not doubting the king. His impact is still best in the world.

I'm less optimistic, but those were some great trades by Pelinka at the deadline.

Pelinka actually made some non retarded moves for once, it’s true but he still took way too long. If he had done these trades at the beginning of the year (or the Hield and Turner one) Lakers are a top 4 seed and in great position to come out of the West. Instead they have to rely on 38 year old LeBron to carry them to a late season flurry. Possible but wouldn’t count on it. Truly might come down to the handful of games Hambone lost them with his stupidity. Westbrook, as much of a problem as he was, is less the villain of the Lakers season than Ham IMO.

His shot was off, but it's so nice to see a backup center that can actually play some defense.

Finally! It’s a shame we wasted so much time of Lebron’s ending career with the worst roster on the planet.

We didn’t get any superstar, but just players who can actually shoot the ball and defend and voilà. It’s so simple actually, put Lebron, 1 good player and a few average 3&d guys and its a great team already.

WB was just the worst fit ever and the amount of stupid decisions and TO just killed the team. I think since he came we didn’t win 1-2 games where we looked like that. Every single game was basically a struggle, even on blowouts vs the worst teams out there we looked terrible. Now finally a good game and we didnt’t even had time to really play tght and gel yet.

Word. LA didn't even play that good - they missed a bunch of free throws and shot poorly from three. This was the first win of this sort since the '20-'21 season. Feels more effortless and replicable. You take a victory like this over the bipolar wins with Westbrook.

stfu, fatboy. yes they wanted westbrook...two years ago. the lakers laughably cheap small market acting front office sat on him for a year plus, two trade deadlines, and an offseason...to save a 1st rd pk in 2029.

A healthy Lakers' squad is top 4 in the West. Hopefully AD and Bran both have another gear in them for the final stretch because the team that we saw last night is as good as anyone in the league.

D’Angelo Russell on playing alongside LeBron and AD: “It’s just easy.”

He added that, “When your two best players are willing passers and selfless,” it just makes things flow.

Lakers had 32 assists on 44 buckets, and got to the FT line 36 times.

Russell has instilled a winning culture into this team already :applause:

Since Rondo left they were missing that on court leader that can get everybody together on the same page

Russell can fill that role perfectly

The issue the Lakers still have is AD. We all know what's gonna happen and it keeps happening every single season. How long will they wait till they trade him?
He's an amazing player, but if he can't play when it matters, he's just a burden at this point and has to be traded. It's the same every single season. Everyone always says (me included thinking maybe this is the year) "but if he could stay healthy, then...".

If it happens 1 year, benefit of the doubt. 2 years, still benefit of the doubt. But every single season multiple times? Sorry, he has to go and for him you could pick 1-2 great players that will actually be there when it matters.
