He may, but he also may cause the Clippers to go the opposite direction. Do you not think there's at least a slight chance of this happening?

with Westbrook starting the Clippers aren't going anywhere. Finishing ahead of the Lakers isn't an accomplishment

As much as I hated Russ on the Lakers I think he'll be a decent fit for the Clippers. He can handle the ball with everyone else spacing the floor for him.

I bet without LeDeadWeight on his team Westbrook makes the playoffs.

PG13 had his career season playing with Russ. So did Beal.

And then Brook shit the bed in the playoffs both times.

Obviously anything can happen this time around and you can never predict the future with certainty but… it’s amazing people just constantly ignore the obvious indicators.

Value being the keyword. Paying Russ $47 million isn't good value, not to mention trading assets to get him.

Picking him up off waivers is a different story.

So as long as he doesnt require a lot of money to shit the bed in the playoffs, thats getting good value?

You certainly don't want him to play a big role coming down the stretch in the 4th quarter of a playoff game, but lets not pretend he was solely responsible for playoff failures. PG13 had to get surgery on both shoulders after the season and the Wizards....are the Wizards. They weren't going to beat Philly no matter what Russ did.

What he can do is create shots for players who arent good creating for themselves. He just needs to limit his shot attempts and if he doesn't....just bench him. He has no leverage now.

Brooks refusing to bench starter only Carmelo was the biggest reason the Jazz upset them. Westbrook was good later in that series. He hurt them early though as the Jazz dared him to hit jumpers

He will continue being too 10 in assists this season, and will fit quite nicely with PG and Kawhi

There was also a first round series against the Blazers where Dame went off on him to the point of literally telling Westbrook to 'stop running from this ass whipping.'

The playoffs are tough. It's not a walk in the park. It requires mental toughness that the regular season just isnt about.

Westbrook is the last guy you want anywhere near a competition of mental toughness.

Part of me hopes he gets his game back because there’s nothing more beautiful for a basketball player to thrive in ‘Life After Lebron.’ But since it’s the clippers part of me wants Westbrook to go full Westbrick and crash and burn that team.

Life is a struggle when you player with LeCancer, but there is always a light at the end of that tunnel which we call Life After Lebron

From Harden/Durant to George/Melo to Harden to Beal to LEBRON/AD and now Kawhi/George.

What does Westbrook still need?

He also selfishly and unnecessarily created a West Side Story-like grudge with Rubio that threw he and his teammates off their game.

The Clippers are by far the dumbest team in the universe lol. I thought the Lakers were number 1 when we got him after he showed us 15 yrs that he was pure garbage if you're trying to win a game and the Clippers topped us

I get that he couldn't win with any superstar you've played it so far and teams were throwing you around like hot garbage out there, but if you can't even be good next to lebron, i'm sorry but there's no saving you. By far the biggest mistake in Lakers history. First time i've seen fans screaming at their own players to not shoot :oldlol:

Number 1 in TO, most retarded decisions ever seen, worst in 3pt, i mean, dude is just a walking nightmare for the team out there even if he plays damn hard.

Mental toughness has never been a problem with Russ. He's not afraid of the moment. Problem is that Russ has always tried being the hero in crunch time when he's had KD, PG, Harden, Beal & Bran/AD. Russ thinks he's Kobe when it's crunch time and it's been killing his teams since the early 2010s.

Possibly, but WB likely wont be around past this season. In Denver Hyland was always gonna be stuck behind Murray. If he’s smart he’ll just be patient in LAC and wait for his time.

Im personally not convinced his value IS as a starting pg, but obviously he wants to prove otherwise and should eventually get that chance. Westbrook isnt long term competition.

Westbrook failed at his own success, and that is in reference to cap space and his salary.
When he played for Oak , his athletic triple doubles increase his demand and salary went up.
Each team he has played on since has been fighting the cap space , because of three stars were on each of the teams he was on.
A team has to have defenders as well as outside weak side shooters.

He is stuck in a salary war vs team success IMO.
After the current contract is done , the next team he will be on , will have much more cohesiveness.

Count on it.
