View Full Version : Wasn't D'Lo the 4th option in Minnesota behind Edwards, KAT and Gobert?

D'Lo didn't make any top 3 on any ranking in Minnesota. Didn't the Lakers just acquire the 4th best player on a garbage lottery team?
That being said i liked what i've seen from him even tho it's just 1 game with the "full" roster and he's 100000 times a better fit than WB, but why are some people in here saying the Lakers are now a superteam when they just got the 4th best player on a mediocre team and they are the 13th seed lol? Did i miss something? If Durant came over i'd understand, but D'Lo (even tho he's a good player)?

Every single site has Edwards, KAT and Gobert over him:

Yesterday he was a nobody, but today he's an "all time great" according to LeHaters.

Just the way it goes.

He averaged 4 more points than Gobert so, no.

you forgot McDaniel who they certainly valued more. The trolls have 2 wayer Garza and 3rd center Reid ahead of Gobert as well

D'lo was the second best scorer with the Wolves only behind KAT.

I've seen exactly NOBODY call him an "all time great." However, he is a fairly recent all star and he's a solid player. It's Bronie fluffers who are all of a sudden making him out to be a scrub since they don't have Westbrook to lay all of LeShrivel's failures onto anymore.

D'lo has 8k plus points in total. Kermit only has 4k total points. Therefore D'lo is the better scorer.

LOL at getting owned, then trying to move the goalposts to career points.

Lol, I didnt move any goalposts. That was the setup and rationale behind it, career points. Career numbers is the metric right?

Xiao, what I learned from ISH is that ppg is a shortgevity game and it doesn’t matter. No one pays attention to per game stats.

The OP's mention of Gobert and with it being his first season with the T-Wolves.... quite obvious he was referring to this season.

Towns was out and Gobert didn't shoot or score more so D'Angelo was the 2nd option for most of this season.

Reporter: “Ant’s clutch time numbers have not been very good this year. What can he do better in the last 3, 4 minutes of games specifically on offense?” Finch: “Yeah, I think just a little too much hero ball right now. Keep making the right play, like when he was playing really well. (https://www.talkbasket.net/160565-chris-finch-on-anthony-edwards-i-think-just-a-little-too-much-hero-ball-right-now) I think he wants the ball, it’s a big moment for him. This is part of his growth curve. He’s had to share those moments with KAT or D-Lo in the last couple seasons, now they’re mostly his, but he’s just gotta keep making the right play and not forcing things that aren’t there.”
