Jokic won't get sympathy if he loses again this year - no one will say the Nuggets are wasting his talent or that he deserves more help.. This is standard treatment for superstars like Curry, Morant, or Giannis - the media doesn't clamor for trades to get them more help.. If they lose, they're expected to get better for next season and eventually they'll face criticism for not developing championship basketball.
The only exception is Lebron - he's entitled to a cast that can contend immediately, so losses are blamed on lack of supporting talent or bad fits - everyone agrees that he deserves an immediate favorite and shouldn't have to "figure it out" like other stars by developing chemistry or young teammates into primary contributors.
It's ironic that Lebron is allowed to use "bad fits" as an excuse since he's supposed to "play all 5 positions" and therefore have the best capacity for teammate fits or chemistry.. If someone like Westbrook joins the team, Lebron is supposed to fit with him like Karl Malone fit with ball-dominators, aka domination as the roll-man and deft mid-range touch.. Unfortunately, this kind of high-assisted rate for frontcourt players (off-ball) is the opposite of Lebron's game, so he can't dominate like a real forward, center, or even SG (coming off screens or defending off screens).. He simply has a point guard skillset and the abnormal ball-dominance for his size and position imposes spot-up roles that yield weaker teammate fits.
So the media is saying the opposite of the truth because bad teammate fits, development and chemistry confirm that Lebron can't play all 5 positions - he only dominates on-ball.. Any player that wasn't already an elite shooter (Mo/Kyrie) has weak fits and sees lower stats alongside Lebron's abnormal ball-dominance (i.e. Ingram, Kuzma, Love, Bosh, Hughes, Jamison, Rose, IT, Clarkson, Wade, more) .. Otoh, the top skillset or player-type is expert jumpshooters, since they foster the best teammate development, chemistry and strategic capacity/coaching, which yields the highest team ceilings or Finals records with the least help.
Btw, Kyrie played in 12 of 14 games in the 2015 East Playoffs, while Love was the only perennial all-star sidekick and the best 2nd option in the 18' East - so the only time that Lebron carried a 1-star team to the Finals was in the 2000's when everyone was doing it (Iverson, Kidd, Lebron, Dwight).. The media simply exaggerated or misreported Lebron for 20 years.. People forget that the 16' and 17' Finals were supposed to be a clash of titans like the old Celtics/Lakers rivalries, but Lebron's super-team only won 53 games while Kawhi and Curry flirted with 70 (superior brands of ball) - fans and media weaponized this underachievement by crying about "comp".
So every aspect of Lebron's career has been misreported including the idea that his early playoff teams weren't viable - a weak team in 2006 would indicate that Lebron couldn't develop a viable playoff team after 3 seasons, which is ridiculous.. He obviously developed viable playoff teams but only won 45-50 games thru his 5th healthy season before receiving the all-star spacing that his stiff-arm needs in 2009 - this is hardly an all-time level of carrying but misreported by the media.. Fortunately, stats tell the story.. They confirm that MJ nearly beat the Bad Boys in 1990 with less help on both sides of ball than the 06-10' Cavs - this includes the 19th-ranked defense versus top 10 for the Cavs and much less offensive help, aka Pippen had less PER, WS, PPG & efficiency than all-stars Zydrunas/Mo or the Hughes/Jamison acquisitions.

You know OP was clicking refresh all day yesterday, finally realizing he was able to post at 6:30 in the morning on a Wednesday. Don't get me wrong, he is a colossal fakkit, but I honestly feel bad for him, he must have legitimately nothing else in his life.

3nutball constantly being banned and unbanned is lost on me. Like, the mods are just fukking around at this point yeah? I mean it's your board, the rest of us are just passing through. But what IS the point?!
Or is the Op account a mod burner account and we're all being played?

.
Well said here , so he obviously has a weakness offensively compared to his weak defense -man up.
I have seen this his whole career , problem he moves with out the ball less than 50% of the time , because he prefers isolation like most super stars.
When he is on the weak side , he likes standing like injuried Kawhi .
I have always suspected he was resting... which allowed him his longevity over the years.

Some valid points here.
Jokic definitely could use some help. It's a pretty thin team. If he complained, it would be talked about/covered more. But he doesn't, so it doesn't.

Jeff Green > Scottie Pippen
Kawhi in his top 10 all time
Curry going from the most overrated ever to top 5 all time in 2 weeks
It’s an endless array of idiotic posts, and only on this shithole could someone as unknowledgeable and blatantly dishonest as OP be considered a good poster :lol

the media doesnt clamor for those guys because they just dont get that much attention from the mainstream guys. If you check say a nuggets podcast or their subreddit, they were complaining about will barton all the time before this year. if they dont win a title, I can bet they'll clamor for a michael porter trade. Zach Lowe was saying this whole season memphis should've gone for a 4th piece like og on the high end bogdanovic on the low end. Giannis is most invalid, media absolutely was saying bucks needed to trade bledsoe pre 2021, ofc they wont say anything after bucks traded for holiday and won a title. you dont need more help once you win a title. Also media said bucks needed to make a trade to compete with boston this year and they did with crowder.

That's your opinion but you can't get upset at people who feel the other way. Bran stans have been spamming these forums for 15+ years and y'all shrivel up when someone more educated gives you an opposing view that's backed with context & data. Forum needs more posters like 3Ball who are willing to give a nuanced take on their POV instead of just calling people "stupid retard" whenever there's a disagreement. He's not right on everything he posts (no one is) but at least he's willing to go into depth on what he's saying. It can be annoying when he repeats the same post over & over again (which is why he gets banned) but at least he doesn't resort to adhom attacks like you guys from what I've seen.
