1. CP3
2. Harden
3. Embiid
4. KD
5. Kawhi

I understand the first two wouldn't even be considered the best players on their team, but CP3 will get a ton of shit if he can't win one with this team :lol And while it wouldn't undo everything, at least Harden can get a ring as 2nd option a la Drexler, better than nothing.

Simple. KD #1. Had a complete meltdown last year, the Nets kept every game relatively close despite he and Kyrie being net negatives. That’s about as good of a roleplayer core as one can ask for. This guy has melted down every time he’s had expectations, with the only exception being his GSW stint where he had a safety net no other all time great has had the luxury of enjoying. And the fact that Curry won last year looks even worse for him.

Now he’s on a team that’s only 1 season removed from the finals and a top 10 teammate in Booker. Any other all timer will be heavily seen as favorites with this cast, but with KD there are still doubts about him performing when it matters, when team success is dependent on his performance and there are expectations.

1. Russell Westbrook - He's playing for his career a ring and he stays in the NBA a first round exit and he's retired.
2. Nikola Jokic - He has to deliver a title at some point after being in the MVP race for three straight seasons
3. James Harden - Playing for a contract, he's not in as bad a place as Russ is in that teams will still take him but I'm not sure if Philly won't move on.
4. Paul George - It took years for Chris Webber to make the hall....if George doesn't win a ring he might miss out and that window is closing
5. Kyrie Irving - Here is another guy who's contract status and legacy is tied up with what he does this season...a poor showing from Dallas this year he might be gone or have to sign 2 year deals for the rest of his career.

Suns can run it back next season, they have no consequences for not winning this year except for age. PG's can win later in life so CPIII and Durant aren't at the top. Tatum is young and the Celtics are a piece or two away, he's already shown deep playoff runs...pressures not on him. Kwahi what are the consequences for Kwahi this season? Embiid might be better off losing and blowing up the Sixers and going to Miami where he fits in better.

What is Kawhi doing there? I am not a fan of him, but he already won 2 rings and 2 FMVPs, and his ring in Toronto is worth 2-3 rings in a winning franchise such as the Celtics or Lakers. His legacy is well-cemented. I would add KD to the list instead of him. Also, I would take Tatum off the list, he still has lots of attempts left, barring injury.

There is 0 doubt with KD's ability to perform when you consider he almost beat the championship Bucks by himself with one shot.

The Suns have doubts due to the injury bug. CP3 might not last and now Booker has been hurt twice already and KD himself is coming off of an MCL sprain.

There is 0 doubt with KD's ability to perform when you consider he almost beat the championship Bucks by himself with one shot.He didn't have any expectations in that series. The thing with KD is I wouldn't be surprised if he played out of his mind and won, or if he choked and got bounced, he's just been inconsistent in the playoffs besides his Golden State years. "0 doubt" was the sentiment of a lot of Nets fans last year. The wild thing with KD is he always seems to get passes. Nash and the Nets roleplayers were thrown under the bus, but it was the roleplayers who kept the games close in spite of their duo. Lebron would get absolutely killed for a series like that.

I guess it depends on where KD wants his legacy to be. He's already a top 15 player of all time. Maybe top 20 for those who don't like him too much, but anything below that would be pretty wild. But if he wants top 10 all time consideration, he needs this ring and he's already 34.

The Suns have to win at some point in the next two/three seasons they can wait a year. It's a much bigger deal with The Clippers, Nuggets, Mavericks, and 76ers...those teams could get blown up if they fail this year

Probably Jokic, KD, Lebron, Giannis and Luka in that order.

1) CP3 (if he can't win with this group, it really starts to make you question whether he was an empty stats guy)

2) KD (similarly, he needs to show he can win in these type of situations if he's going to stack another team for chips)

3) Jokic (surprised yall don't have him higher. He's in danger of being looked at as a Westbrook type who just stat pads in the regular season but fades in the Playoffs...and he will have 3 MVPs which makes it worse)

4) Embiid (Never really regained his rise to prominence after than Raptors series against Kawhi..if he loses again and especially if he starts to deal with injuries, does he become Blake Griffin?)

5) Harden (Never really a superstar in my eyes and ultimately might be remembered as a McGrady or maybe moreso Carter type who was a diva and never really lived up to his image)

What?:biggums: Either you guys throw those labels too easily or you don't respect past players that much.

It’s because of my respect for NBA history that I have Durant that low. “Top 15, maybe top 20 if he isn’t your cup of tea” is hardly a stretch for a career of Durant’s caliber, easily 13 superstar seasons. Longer than some careers.

Tell me, you have the top 10. Who are the next 5-10 guys Durant has no argument over?

Giannis, West, Baylor, Big O, Moses, Mailman, Chuck, KG, Wade, Dirk, Hondo, Steph in some type of order?

Who on this list is it silly to argue Durant over?
