Lakers finish 8th and face Denver?

Lakers finish 7th and face Memphis?

Lakers finish 6th and face Phoenix?

Or any variation of facing the Clippers/Mavericks who could potentially climb up in the standings?

Has Memphis done anything noteworthy in the playoffs yet? Probably them

They aren't beating anyone. They are still trying to make the damn play in...only better so far than the tanking Spurs/Rockets.

All of them, obviously.

Its just a matter of making the play-in. Once theyre in, they can beat anyone.

The Suns are 3 games behind Sac, dont be so sure that theyre gonna leap them in this short time.

Theyre not gonna finish 6th, thats a bogus proposition.

You can focus on Nuggets and Grizz.

Prob anyone honestly. They are dangerous as hell with them 2 and finally some shooting. Dunno if they have enough defense but they have the guns

Lol you act like I didn't know he sucked for them. I just didn't like him being scapegoated. As if the simple solution was cutting him and replacing him with mac mcclung would have lead to a chip. Fk the Laker fans, fk the Lebron stans, and fk you. Hope the Lakers never win again.

That being said, they'll prob win the chip

LA would get swept by Phoenix. Memphis would beat them but it wouldn't be that bad. Best chance would be vs mavericks. Clippers would actually be at a home court disadvantage but they're a better team and westbrook has some extra motivation.

:oldlol:

Im guessing Nuggets woud sweep too, considering they got a similar buid and firepower to Suns?

People here are delusional. The Lakers are capable of beating any team in the West if healthy. If Bronie is out, their chances are even higher.

I would favor the Nuggets but how are they similar to Phoenix?

I just told you how.

Nuggets are 1 in eFG for the 2nd year straight. The KD Suns will/would be 1st or 2nd. The KD Nets were 2nd. last years Suns with healthy Book/CP3 alone were 4th.

They have very similar strengths.

Nowhere in this thread did you say how Denver is similar to Phoenix. And this reply is a bad attempt. Them being comparable in some shooting efficiency stat does not make them similar teams that's nonsense. For them to be similar Phoenix would have to be basing their offense on a great passing big man or wec would have to see MPJ transform into a dominant scorer and the best player on the Nuggets. Nothing like that is going on so you aren't making sense. As usual.

What? Its literally what you replied to.

Similar build and firepower.

Probably the 2 best offenses in the NBA, both with potent shooting. As far as specific player comparisons go, both have a dynamic scoring guard Booker/Murray and a flashy high upside 3 KD/Porter.

The most important nugget by far is Jokic. No Sun is anything like Jokic. Meanwhile we haven't even seen KD with Phoenix but if his impact and role remain constant he averaged 12 more points than MPJ and is far better than him in just about every way.

Lakers haven't been healthy + they got rid of Westbrick for solid starter-level players man... A healthy Laker team has a chance against anyone with their front court + shooting ability. Bran & AD are as good of a 1-2 combo as there is in the NBA.

It's like saying a healthy GS team has no chance of winning because they're .500 right now with Curry & Wiggins missing a huge chunk of the season. If they get healthy at the right time they'll be a tough team to beat, despite their record.

If they can beat anybody, then the logic should follow that there should be no excuse for them missing the playoffs outside of injury.

Gotta agree with Arb.

Assuming LA makes the postseason, they could POTENTIALLY beat anyone. Undersized teams like Dallas don't want to see them. The Warriors are another team who could 'potentially beat anyone' although LA has 2 guys, not 1, still playing at a VERY high level. Their acquisitions post all-star break have looked great. So far anyway.

Theres a difference between being able to beat anyone and winning 4 series in a row vs all strong opponents. I think they have a decent to great chance vs memphis(can’t score enough), kings and mavs(neither team can defend). Denver Phoenix clippers will be tough though on paper clippers aren’t that much more talented rn

Lakers are STACKED. If they do miss the playoffs, it will be because of LeDeadWeight dragging them down. But the excuses are going to be to blame everyone and everything other than Bronie.
