I think Lebron is more talented both skillwise, mentally and physically.

Lebron is quicker, faster and stronger than Mcgrady

As far as leaping ability its close, it can go to either guy.

Mcgrady is arguably a better scorer and Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, and team player IMO.

I just think Lebron has a better grasp of the game. Hw'a just a more efficient player.

I think the most talented players are Garnett and Lebron tied for first. I would put Mcgrady in the top 3 in L. Mcgrady is very talented, whethere he'll ever live up to his talent is a different story.

The same can be said of Lebron. It's not so much that McGrady isn't a team player as much as it was that he didn't have a team. This Cavs team is better than alot of what McGrady had to deal with. Him and Grant Hill took up a boatload of capspace. Other than the MLE they had nothing to use.

I don't think Lebron is a much better rebounder than Tmac, and Tracy came into the game of basketball pretty late. Still, Lebron has so much more impact at such a younger age. As to grasp of the game... I'm not really sure. I don't have the numbers to see who's more efficient.

T-Mac has more physical Talent...

He is taller, has longer arms, longer legs and still a strong upper body.

No way Lebron is faster than T-Mac...No way. T-Mac is also a better leaper. T-Mac is lighter but still strong. He has the perfect body for being a leaper. T-Mac is probably the best leaper in the League.

And T-Mac has a better body coordination. He has the best body coordination in the entire League.

T-Mac is a prototype of an athletic human.

The thing with TMAC is he has too big a head to ever be a great team player and thus improve his all around game. He has also proven to be a sellout and a quitter with both Orlando and Toronto. Lebron is better because he has far more character.

T-Mac will always be the most talented player between the two, T-Mac doesn't utilize all his talent however. He could be the league's best player if he wants to. Lebron utilizes his talent all the way and the two are basically equal in terms of skill at this point.

Right now, T-Mac is a far more talented player. Lebron is only putting up better numbers because T-Mac doesn't fit well into JVG system. Look back at number from pervious years and it will show. He averaged 28, 6 and 5 and the year before 32, 6, and 5. Lebron is not playing with Yao, so can shoot more. Stats don't always tell the whole story. You need to actually watch these players play more than one time.

LEBRON!!!!!!!!! definitly....

TMac is puttin up like 22, 5, 5

LeBron - 25, 7, 7 and #2 in the NBA in steals

are u kidding me? LeBron/T-Mac are the same height both 6'8''.

LeBron is WAAAY bulkier than T-Mac... so much stronger...

o yea.... TMac is 25 and LeBron is 19..... haha its so easy.... LeBron will be the (not the next jordan)... but better than Jordan.... u kno why? cuz jordan... yea scored 30 ppg.... LeBron gets 25 at age 19...... Jordan got about 5 apg on a good night.... LeBron 7 on average...... Jordan got 5-6 rebounds...... LeBron 7..... and they both stole the ball.....

now if u campare that to TMacs sorry ass Rockets with 22, 5, 5...... then u dumb.... LeBron..... LeBron..... LeBron.....

and LeBron is more flashy with dunking.... NOW..... TMac hasnt done ANYTHING nice... literally all he does is shoot 3's..... LeBron takes it in.. shoots SOME 3's..... and gets to the line if he has to....

Yea TMac scored 62 points in a game last year... ON THE WORST TEAM IN THE NBA..... but notice they were all 3's.... and he didnt pass....

LeBron.. last year... at age 18.... scored 41 and dropped 13 dimes.... haha.... now thats talent....

Lebron has been more efficent, but I thought this topic was about talent. McGrady is WAYYY more talented than LeBron. He has so much more to work with, he just doesn't use it all.

I find that hard to believe. When did TMac ever jump like this

https://web.archive.org/web/20041231160350im_/http://msn.foxsports.com/id/3197540_7_2.jpg

T-Mac has more experience -- NOT talent. Anyone who says that T-MAC is taller, longer or in any way better physically than Lebron have NOT seen Lebron play. Lebron's game is on the upward swing while T-MACs has leveled off which means he's still an All-Star, but he can't carry a team on his back like Lebron can and T-MAC showed he couldn't carry a team last season with Orlando when he tanked the season.

LeBron is the better leaper, but that's a very deceiving angle.

Yeah, let's ignore the past 3 years he carried them into the playoffs. You saying that is like me saying LeBron can't carry a team, because they didn't make the playoffs last year and fell off once McInnis got hurt.

People weren't wrong about T-Mac (as far as him being more skilled/talented) at the time but his body failed him while Bran became one of the most durable players in NBA history.

Just in terms of natural, innate talent?! This was back in 2004, those aren't wild statements. I don't think if the conversation is strictly talent that it's a crazy conversation now, even as we've seen how their careers wound up. Lebron's body obviously held up exponentially better and maximized his gifts. And for those who will either willfully or accidentally misinterpret my words, yes Lebron had/has more TOTAL all-around game. The year we all remember as THAT year from Tmac, 2003, he was 23/24 years old. We never got to see him max out because his body gave up on him.

'Talent', however you measure it, though? Tmac takes a backseat to few.

I agree, T mac is way more talented than Lediva. If T mac had the same teams that Lediva had, he would have more than 4 chips that lebrick has

When it comes to offensive SKILL at the SG position (scoring skillset, handles, passing as a package), T Mac is a top 3 SG EVER! So T Mac was MORE SKILLED a player than Bron. But the more SKILLED PLAYER isn't the better player in all cases. And this is the case when it comes to Bron in comparison to T Mac. RESULTS AND DOMINANCE trumps skill! Only perimeter player I would take over Bron GOAT or peak-prime wise is MJ.

I'd also argue that more skilled doesn't necessarily mean more talent. Kyrie is more skilled than Jason Kidd was but Kidd had athletic advantages on top of his overall IQ that absolutely even out (and then some) any skill deficit that might be there. Which equates to talent in my eyes.

Lebron's size and strength cannot be ignored in a talent conversation. And that goes far beyond just bulldozing to the rim but also starting breaks and keeping teams off-balance, grabbing any and every 50/50 ball that exists, and being able to be anywhere defensively when it calls. He always did the little things well. The things Mosley from Last Chance U yells at his guys to do...Bron had that shit covered in his prime. Not so much now but it's fine.

Agree here

Talent is an all-encompassing description of a players natural abilities.

Lebron being a freak of freaks physically while possessing a freak mind probably makes him the most "talented" player ever.

Even skill wise lebron always gets underrated because people think what he does isn't always pretty. Yet the guy is a 6'8 ambidextrous powerhouse with PG handles and elite vision and passing. His touch is great his hands are great. His instincts are off the charts.

Tmac is more skilled shooter and that's probably about it. He had some nice handles too aesthetically but didn't protect the ball like Bron.

The most talented player to ever play in the NBA was probably Bill Walton
