“Sources: There's fear Lakers star LeBron James is likely to miss an extended period of time with his right foot injury. James suffered the injury in Sunday's win over Dallas, played through it, and belief is he will be sidelined an indefinite amount.”

We knew the run was too good to be true. But at the end of the day, Lebron is a 38 year old NBA player.

Seriously, what's up with all these star duos being constantly injured; LeBron/AD, Kawhi/PG, KD/Kyrie. I feel like that's been the defining theme of the last 4 years since all these duos came together.

“James suffered the injury in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks.
James played through it, and the injury is now expected to require multiple opinions, sources said. The Lakers are bracing for his absence to be multiple weeks.
James scored 26 points against the Mavericks. The Lakers sit at 29-32, currently 12th in the Western Conference.”

It’s possible it was aggravated by him staying in the Mavs game. Unsure if we would have necessarily lost the Mavs game without him.

I made a thread in December telling the Bron stans to give up. Only thing worth watching was Lebron chasing the scoring record. Anyone with a brain knows LeBron/AD can't make it through the regular season without a ton of injuries. This means the Lakers aren't contenders.

You expected AD/Lebron to play more than 65 games each??? I told you already Arby, you should've given up months ago. You were too optimistic even at the trade deadline, and you should've never bet money on this Lakers team.

Still a chance if LeBron returns last 7-8 games. AD has been playing better lately, Lakers have more depth so they should pick it up a notch. D'lo should be returning soon. Lakers have 6th easiest remaining schedule with a bunch of home games. They have to stay afloat.

Are you really this ignorant? Lebron hasn't been close to any kind of "iron man" on the Lakers.

Lebron played 45 games in 2021, 56 last year, and only 47 this year. He also played only 55 games in 2019.

He basically misses 30-40% of the NBA season in a Lakers uniform. AD is even worse.

Since lebron returned from his November injury, they have been 22-15 (49 win pace) in games he played and 2-6 in games he missed.

New-look Lakers are 3-0 with Bron, 100% victories, but already lost without him.

There's no winning for his haters in this, since even if he sits out till the rest of the rs and the team wins all the games from now on, they'll have a L without him and have a perfect record with him. And the issue is, if he comes back with thsi new-look team the Lakers are much stronger and will win many more games. So its a loss-loss situation for the retards.

It's unprecedented and insane though how much expectation everyone still has from Lebron at the age of 38.

Literally no one gave a sh** when MJ couldn't carry the Wizards to even be a lottery team. But Bron at 38? It's championship or bust. Just shows how even his haters think he's the greatest.

From 11/25 to 02/07, a span of 38 games, he sat out 5 games vs.

sub .500 Toronto on a b2b
Phoenix without Booker on a b2b, a team that's 11-16 without him
Miami
Denver
Brooklyn without Durant after playing 44 minutes in OT, a team that's 8-13 without him

Then the 3 games he missed after breaking the record were the Bucks, the Warriors without Curry, and the sub .500 Blazers. Not exactly a murderers row of opponents he was "ducking".

In each of the wins Lebron has played with the post-deadline roster, he didn't need to put in an excessive effort, scoring below his average in each victory. The takeaway from this is that the new roster is not nearly as reliant on Lebron as the old one was. That gives me confidence that they can still very much compete for a playoff spot while hoping to have Lebron return before the playoffs start.

LA got lucky in 2020. Shortened season, extended break and their duo was healthy.

Since donning a Laker jersey, during a regularized 82 game season, AD and Bron have been hampered with injuries. Wanted to see them make a legitimate run at it, but doesnt look like it was meant to be.

Hopefully these 'multiple opinions' are in unison and it isn't a serious injury.

Both LeBron and AD were mostly healthy up to that point tbh. LeBron's problems started when he hurt his ankle in 2021. AD had always missed time every year for minor aches and pains, but it was in 2021 he started becoming "street clothes". Likely because of the shortened offseason. He didn't look like himself again until this year.

Thoughts on a healthy 2021 and 2022 Laker squad. How far do they make it and was a championship realistic?

Not gonna include 2023. Bron is expected to miss a few weeks, but time will tell.
Healthy 2021-champs.

Healthy 2022-slightly better but still shit, that team reeked regardless.

Lol. He sat out some of the toughest games they had, and played in the easiest ones.

This is why I make fun of you Bronie fluffers. You've sacrified all ability to think for love of another man. :lol

Lol would've crowned Bron GOAT had he dragged Russ to a ring.

Its probably not fair, but I think Russ also made the Clippers worse. He takes minutes away from Terance Mann who's a big contributor for them.

Agree with 2021 though. AD would've been a nice matchup vs Giannis, and nobody on Milwaukee could defend Bron.

There is no one in NBA history capable of dragging this version of Russ playing a large role to a ring, it's hard to even make the playoffs. Prime Russ was great though, it's unfortunate he is viewed the way he is now, but his refusal to change is part of that. He definitely makes the Clippers worse, absolutely bizarre signing. I feel like a lot of people don't realize he hasn't been the guy you think of when you hear "Russell Westbrook" in half a decade.

I'm a Bron fan that's supported him long time but he will never go down with a ship. He's won so much he can't accept being part of losing.

Austin Reaves talked bout bron today and was vague around brons Injury.. "whatever he's dealing with..."

LeBron said it himself he’d rather lose in the first round than in the finals. These fake season ending injuries when he can’t make the playoffs ain’t a good look

You can think you know more about what I think than I do, but I'd much rather see the Lakers lose five in a row. Much as I do enjoy rubbing it in Bronie fluffers faces.

But you see, if the Lakers miss the playoffs, it's a win-win for me. Because my most hated team misses the playoffs....

AND I can rub it in Bronie fluffers faces about how he led a super team to the lottery. Again.

Capisce?

But given that he's hurt...that wouldn't make sense. Not that you care about that I suppose.

Uhhhhhh, because he's had his team in the lottery for the whole year, even while he wasn't injured.

So serious note, what actual injury does this fraud have?

He heard something pop, he said....but we all know he didn't pop his achilles.

This injury is literally fake and the fact he made up a story about hearing something pop just makes it even more him.....FAKE

Real players don't behave like this

Just out of curiosity, are you aware that there are other things in your foot/ankle that can pop?

This is a fair point. Whenever a player is out injured, the nature of the injury is almost always disclosed. In this case.....nada. Unless I just missed it. Did the nature of his injury get made public?

If it was a pop, it should have been diagnosed pretty easily.

Not saying its fake, but it makes the situation suspicious.

You didn't watch the game? He said it multiple times while he was on the ground lol.

How could you miss that if you actually watched the game

That shit is common af btw if you've ever played sports, doesn't mean significant injury though. Could just be a sprained ankle but they're going to play it safe.

What's common? Hearing a pop? Definately not, but some people mistake the feeling of a pop for hearing it. A clearly audible pop, especially in a loud venue isn't a good sign from my personal experience.

I've torn ligaments and broke bones multiple times playing basketball just like I've witnessed them.

He said it multiple times to make sure the cameras caught it. He even looked at the camera as AD was coming over, repeated it to him, and then pretended to cover his mouth as if he was trying to keep it a secret.

He's load managing so he can come back in the post season fully rested.

I'd have understood faking an injury in the beginning of the season with that awful roster that wouldn't have gone anywhere, but now? New look Lakers were 3-0 when he played and looked to have fun out there and better than ever. Would make no sense to fake an injury now lol.

He had alot of opportunities (honesly, i'd have just sat out to show how terrible the roster was to force things to change) to "fake an injury" in the beginning of the season when they faced the top teams, knowing they would never win that game ever when AD was injured and his 2nd option was Lonnie Walker, but he played through despite all the criticism that fell on the Lakers. So, its a 100% legit injury. And if it was a fake one he'd miss 1-2 games, not more.

I really wanted the Lakers to miss the play-in, but with LeShrivel out they're all but guaranteed to make it.

The guy's probably just load managing. He'll let AD get the team to the playoffs, and then he'll show up rested.
