We all agree that Luka is his own worst enemy and he won't win until he learns to defer and get a grip on his complaining and childish antics.
As an unlicensed developmental therapist, I feel confident that Luka will grow up, because his problems are from being spoiled and emotionally unregulated, which is something that can be changed with time. Men are not fully developed in the brain until mid twenties, so eventually he will become embarassed by being a boy instead of a man and he will just quit. It will look like he literally changes overnight.

Agree. I felt like I had to defend him coming into the league due to the amount of outright racist underrating he was getting in draft coverage. I don't actually want to root for this guy with the attitude he carries. It's like Harden in Houston. He's carrying such a huge offensive load that he slacks on defense, but having one guy carry such a huge load puts you at a disadvantage in the playoffs. The histrionic complaining to the refs also rubs me the wrong way.
It seems like everyone lumps him in with Jokic because they're Balkan boys, but they have totally different mindsets.

only relative subject in this thread is that Luka has never had a legit running mate.
He is MJ/Bird 1a... and once they build a team conducive to making a deep run / it will be time for Dallas to win another chip.
**When Luka argues with the ref's 90% of the beefs are correct.

I initially wanted to compare how it would be more difficult to change Lebron behaviour, because of his insecurity, but that would be mean.
The point is more that Luka is just straight up being a petulant child and at some point he will realise it and be embarassed about it. Then it will be over instantly, because his behaviour is not rooted in insecurity, but in immaturity. That is a major difference.

What do you mean by "defer"
Do you mean play your-turn-my-turn with Kyire? Because I'm pretty sure he's already doing that.. He has no problem letting Kyrie have the last shot or score more points.
So I'm nolt sure what you mean by "defer"
His problem is that he's an abnormal ball-dominator for his size and position, so he imposes spot-up roles and has horrific fits with teammates.. Since he's bad at chemistry, he'll need super-teams like Lebron did to win.. Where's prime Love when you need him.

Yeah, this is not Lukas problem, his issue is immaturity, he wants to win, but he thinks he is so much better than everyone else that needs to dominate the ball at all times.

They got Christian Wood to play the Love role but they don't have enough physicality up front and Luka is no prime Lebron on the defensive end either. Offensively they can stay in a series with any team but they're going to need to play ATG offense like the '21 Nets.
