Put ‘em in order 1-5. Hell let’s make 2 lists. Put ‘em in order in two scenarios
1. You have a solid play drawn up to spring the guy open from 3 where he is most comfortable shooting it. He’s guaranteed to come wide open for the shot with 1.4 on the clock.
2. You want to run the clock out and not give it back. There are 8 seconds and the other teams coach is known to not foul up 3 or double.
What order do you put them in? For making the open shot off the catch and for creating the three at the buzzer?

On a catch and shoot I feel like all of them are likely to make it but I’d go first with who I’ve seen do it the most which I think would make it:
Reggie
Ray
Steph
Dame(the shot to win the series vs the Rockets was catch and shoot wasn’t it?)
Klay
And creating it…
Im not sure how I go past dame. Creating downright stupid shots in the clutch is kinda his thing…but Steph is Steph. I don’t know….
Dame
Steph(with a strong case to be a 1b)
Ray
Reggie
Klay

1. Ray Allen. If the question is just who is the best shooter you can go look that up on Google. None of these guys are chokers but only one of them had hit a game winning the in the Finals. It's unfair because only Curry of this group had been the best player in a team in the Finals but it's also true.
2. Just to contradict myself... Reggie Miller is the greatest clutch shooter of all time.
3. Curry. Not as many(maybe not even any? ) game winning playoff jumpers as you would think he should have but it's not because he's a choker it's just that the Warriors have been so dominant and he gets so much attention as a shooter that the opportunities haven't been the same as they have more Allen and Miller. But i still give the credit to the guy that got it done over the guy that I think would have gotten it done.
4. Thompson.
5. Lillaird... would be easier to judge if I had been really watching hits career. I'll be honest living in the east coast sometimes I'm tired with work the next day and don't feel like staying up to watch the 6th (or whatever) best team in the league. I'm sure I would be calling him #1 if he ever got traded to Boston.

Shi... that's hard.
Lillard is definitely last in catch and shoot. The other four guys are better shooters. In creating he could be ahead of a couple of them just because he's a better ball handler than Ray, Reggie and Klay but not sure.
For catch and shoot, I'm going with Reggie just because him making so many clutch shots is etched in my brain although any of the four minus Lillard would be equally great options.
For creating a 3pt shot i.e. shooting off the dribble, that's Curry no doubt.

I was thinking of his big ones and decided maybe Dame didn’t have as many as I thought they’re just all really well known but it turns out….

He already had a career game winners highlight from the nba…5 years ago. Meaning the 38 footer over PG isn’t even in there. I didn’t remember most of those.

Probably Lillard, he’s as clutch as any of em and probably the most versatile.
Steph in theory should be the best probability, but I think he still has nightmares of LeDaddy each time he rises up to shoot in a clutch situation. So I dont trust him in those moments.

Steph is easily last. He's taken by far the most 3s and played in more playoff games yet has the leat amount of playoff moments as any of them, including Klay.
He's the definition of a choker. There's no way you're relying on him to make a big shot.

Lillard. He's done it several times. So has Horry.
Miller & Allen have a couple, also.

Really depends on the defense.
Reggie probably presents the most danger in a worse/best scenario sense for the defense. He’s the most likely to get an and1 of any kind, 3+1, or 3 FT’s.
It would be have to be a very specific scenario for me to choose Klay over any of the others.
I can’t imagine wanting him over Curry in any situation.
Realistically it’s Reggie or Curry. Curry can improvise a shot the best, and he can recover his balance against great defense and get a good look off easiest.
Lillard’s good at hunting his looks because of his range but you can throw him off rhythm with freakish defense way easier than Reggie or Curry. Once you make Lillard dribble a time or two more than he wanted, or hesitating on the initial look he hunted, he goes from great shooter to just average or decent.
Hmm…
The actual ability to make shots is really close, Lillard and Allen probably rank lowest though.
Ability to create shots: Lillard, Curry, Miller highest
Ability to make ANY shot regardless of rhythm: Miller, Curry, Allen
Curry’s name is just ’most common in any category I just made up.
You have to go with him to save your life. But, a person with a gambling edge would take Reggie and see if he can get 4 points somehow and win the game outright.

Klay ain’t creating shit for me to win a game but if you give him a free look? As good a bet as damn near anyone that ever lived.
8 seconds is too long for Reggie. Now that I think about it. I’ll move Lillard over him. Ray was springy and fast but so was Reggie an Reggie can take uncomfortably tough shots with much more confidence IMO.

If Ray misses his shot in Game 6 we'd be living in a completely different world. Kyrie should be on that image instead of Dame or Curry.

that's pretty much my order... old school has a mind set - I am daggering you.
These new age players , say I will be the hero , and think of the consequences.
Of the bottom three players I would take Celtics Brown over them any day.

open shot off screen:
Allen
self-created:
Dame
I just woudnt take Reggie or Klay in the self-created scenario, besides that its all pretty close.
I do think Allen is best coming off a screen and Dame is the clutchest.

Allen
Lillard
Miller
Curry
Klay
You really can't go wrong with any of them, although I have the least amount of confidence in Klay with all that on the line.
