Jason Kidd recently said that there's never been an NBA champion that wasn't mature.. So the best teams have played together a long time, aka chemistry exists and it drives winning just as much as on-paper talent.

Lebron's career shows that he lost to mature teams that possessed great chemistry from playing together for a while like the Dwight's Magic .(5 year organic team) or Dirk's Mavs (10-year organic team) or the Spurs and Warriors..

It should be noted that the increased player movement in the last couple decades and increased focus on ball-domination (high screen roll) has reduced the number of long-standing organic juggernauts that move the ball, so there's only one Spurs or Warriors squad at a time and they invariably dominate the weaker chemistry of the remaining NBA.

Otoh, there were MANY long-standing organic teams that moved the ball in the 90's (no high screen roll), so there were MANY teams of the Spurs or Warriors caliber in the West - this means that the Western representative was essentially the king of organic juggernauts and clicking at all-time levels - that's a nightmare scenario for any Lebron team since his imposition of spot-up roles stalls chemistry and makes his teams susceptible to opponents that have better chemistry (09' Magic, 11' Mavs, Spurs, Warriors).

This is why Lebron would have the same Finals record against the 90's West because the 90's West was full of organic juggernauts that moved the ball (best parity the NBA has ever seen) - Lebron would team up with Drexler and Kemp but win 1 in 4 Finals

OP is saying the Jazz would win with Clarkson at 2nd option, while Lebron's teams were so stacked that Clarkson was 89th option - completely buried on the bench.

It's clear that a team will be stacked when they add 2 top ten players (Lebron/Love) to full team that includes the all-star MVP (#1 pick).. They were only a 33-win team in 2014 but that's far from an 18-win team and they had many pieces/veterans in place and a star like Kyrie already there.
