If I’ve been misled so be it but for now….I believe it’s true.

You may return to your regularly scheduled shit posting.

Was there actually a wet spot or is that just the cover story to save face? I'm not seeing any wetness where he slipped. It looks more like clumsiness on KD's part.

Do you really think you'd be able to see any wetness?

Maybe. It's possible he was just clumsy. It happens.

I am befuddled. What is wrong with today's "hyper athletic" athletes with "modern medicine science and nutrition." I can't imagine 25+ years ago a player getting hurt and being ruled out by slipping on the court.

This is up there with Andrew Bynum injuring himself while bowling and Steve Nash injuring himself with a backpack.

Sounds like something minor. But now I’m really glad I didn’t buy the court side tickets for a silent auction. Some dumb b1tch placed a higher bid than me one minute after the end time and the charity coordinator accepted it. Fvck that ho. They were right behind the suns bench too.

Paul George recently said he thinks they rest too much and don’t allow them to practice as hard as players used to so they are just weaker in general.

Looks more to me that he simply planted awkwardly and sprained his ankle. Anyone who plays a lot of basketball knows how common this is, but I am surprised the Suns may think this will keep Durant out for the rest of the season...I know he's been injury prone recently, but damn him getting hurt this easy is a major red flag for the rest of his career.

In the 90's players would play when they're only ~80% all the time. Allen Iverson played through some of the worst. Today, Kawhi is out 4 weeks when someone touches his braids.

And I get it. If I had the earning potential of today's players I would want to protect my body and play as long as I can too. Why play 10 season at 70-80 games/season when I can play 15 at 50-60 games and even sit out some. Same reason no boxer is ever going to have 200 fights like SRR either.

Suns essentially have 'seen enough' with 3 dominant wins with KD and no rust. They've decided they don't need to build chemistry, because KD just fits like a glove.

Is faking an ankle injury a bold move by a franchise so they guarentee KD is fresh and healthy for the playoffs? A bit. I think they see Warriors as the most stacked team, and seeding wise they won't benefit much as the 3 seed.

Calculated move here. I'm leaning towards liking the move.

Growing up with shitty basketball shoes that started being output in the 90s messed up everyone's biomechanics.

He just planted wrong. Didn't look like a slip. Probably are just saving face. Better than writing "one of the best basketball players of his generation hurts himself due to being too clumsy"

I actually believe this. Those heavy, thick-soled '90s/'00s shoes were terrible. More style over substance. Like Airforce ones.

I also believe the bones of the feet have become weaker. Those old school guys walked around barefoot way more and played in comparatively thin and hard-soled Chucks.

I think part of it is the shoes. Back in the day shoes weren't optimized, but the straighter soles and higher tops helped avoiding.

Never rolled my ankle as much as I did since I started buying modern shoes with their rounded soles and weird shapes. If the sole gets caught sideways chances are pretty high you roll you ankle into that direction.
