At 25 he is headed for his 3rd S. on his troubled knee.

this is super sad.

I have seldom heard of a young athlete at his age coming back 100% after a 3rd surgery. :facepalm

That really sucks, he was starting to become a pretty good player. Sucks for the Bulls too, I think he'd be a difference maker for them, that franchise just seems to get little to no breaks since Jordan retired in 1998.

Besides lucking into #1 with hometown boy D-Rose. Only for the youngest MVP ever and soon to be transcendent talent blowing an ACL in just his 4th season ending game 1 round 1 of the playoffs … smh

Wonder if LA will give LeBron another necklace for them dodging the bullet by not keeping Ball???

How much did he lose by not signing that Nike contract in retrospect?

They offered him 2 mil a year for 5 years. Drop in the bucket compared to his contracts.

even if he comes back next year his lateral and vertical will be compromised...

I really feel sorry for him , Pelicans straightened out his jumper , and he was really a good shooter then.
But he banked on his defense...

I didn't remember the details. In that case I'd consider it worth it to risk venturing out with your own brand.

That sucks. The team didn't make any significant progress since he's been out for this season.

Laker fans were down on Ball but losing BI, Hart & Ball on top of all the picks was the bigger issue then. Pels didn't have much leverage but got everything they wanted despite AD only having 1 more season left on his contract.

As everyone said, it sucks man. He was turning out to be a very solid player player too. He was starting to shoot well, and played solid defense. Sucks for the bulls and for him.
