What a state of affairs.

Lakers underdogs without LeBron against the Raptors at home...

They have zero trust in this team without LeBron.

Dlo has PG skills and you can see the offense flowing much more smoothly with him back. Schroder isn't really a starter.

Can't say enough about how enjoyable this team has been to watch without Westbrook (predictably). And LeBron isn't even playing. If he's somehow in good condition when he returns and LA makes the playoffs....that's a legit contender right there.

Im Still Ballin

You can't understate how different this team is. The turnover was significant:

Outgoing:
- Westbrook
- Beverly
- Damian Jones
- Juan TA
- Thomas Bryant
- Kendrick Nunn

Incoming:
- D'Angelo Russelll
- Malik Beasley
- Jarred Vanderbilt
- Mo Bamba
- Rui Hachimura
- Davon Reed

A completely different team. Maybe more turnover than the 2018 Cavaliers.

Austin Reaves is already the 3rd best player on the team. Incredible how complete his game looks by Year 2 itself. Last year he displayed the all-out hustle and high IQ, but nobody expected him to be able to handle, create and finish like this. He is a genuinely good athlete too.

All Laker fans were rightfully devastated in losing Caruso, by AR is already quite a bit better than Caruso is.

we're still holding the exact same spot at the 9th seed

if we drop to the 10th seed by the end of the year it's still the same shit

9th and 10th play each other and have to beat the winner of the of the 7-8 and we're going to end up with this seed regardless (9 or 10). it literally doesnt make a difference.

I don't think so. EPM, which is by far the most accurate impact stat I've ever seen (it's accurate most, but not all of the time IMO) has Caruso at 89th percentile and Reaves 60th percentile. Caruso is just a winning player. Reaves is fine, but doesn't excel at anything, whereas Caruso has a great argument for being the best defensive guard in the entire league.

Reaves is an excellent offensive player, significantly better on offense than Caruso. Caruso is significantly better on defense though.

He had a nice dunk, put Gary Trent Jr on skates, and showed some effective pick n roll passing. The guy has stuff in his bag that was not on the scouting reports. He’s such a key part of the offense now it’s pretty convincing he should get a permanent starting spot next season.

He definitely has the skillset of an All-Star. He probably won't do it in LA if they keep Bran, AD and D'lo but I could see him averaging 20 ppg on 60%TS on a different team if he ups his 3PT volume and has the ball more in his hands. 11 ppg on 66%TS in his 2nd year and he's had to play with Bran and Russ dominating the ball in most of these games.
