Nuggets with 4 straight losses.

I never thought he was gonna get it.
It was no way he wins 3x straight MVPs.
Somebody else was always gonna get it.
Joel Embiid.

All time great teams can get away with getting bored late in the season but the nuggets don’t have that aura at all. Same with Celtics who’ve looked discombobulated lately.

No, they had a poll of MVP voters a few weeks ago that had him winning in a landslide.
I dont think you like reality much.

He just had b2b 35 point triple doubles, can't really say he's the one letting it slip away.

Im noticing the narrative shift though. Embiid really might steal one.

If not him then who? No one has a flawless resume.

He's even got that supernerd Zach lowe shitting on his defense on a regular basis

Were they the MVP voters on that poll?
I've seen people here say voter fatigue exist which is the reason the likes of Jordan and LeBron never won 3 straight.
Giannis and Embiid have missed too many games, that's part of the reason Jokic has the best case.

not as far as i know
he complained about kicked balls
which he shouldn't because it's a smart play
people will always find something to complain about whether it's justified or not

They aren't close to an all-time great team. They have a really solid starting group with an all-time great in Jokic...but their bench is horrid.
In fact, the Nuggets are pretty much awful without Jokic on the floor. They get outscored by over 10 points per 100 possessions without Jokic on the court. That is really hard to overcome to win in the playoffs and dominate the regular season.

He said kicked balls are the lazy way of saying I don't wanna play defense. That's some damning words, every day I see a clip of someone euro'ing past jokic for a layup. Tonight it's a highlight of a corny ass Scottie Barnes euro. NBA reddit is as hive mind as it gets

so if he doesn't want to vote for jokic for whatever reason fine
voting is always going to produce results a lot of people don't agree with
i'm sure if you left it up to the fans he wouldn't stand a chance

Yes...
Voter fatigue exists to a certain extent but Jokic was/is having an undeniable season. Bird did it. It's hard to stay healthy and string together 3 immaculate seasons in a row but that's what he's done.

Its funny how the narrative has changed on him in the last 10-14 days.

Based on the narratives already discussed, I think so.
But I don’t think Jokic cares.
perhaps the narrative hunters should take into consideration
among various other things
murray shot like shit over the last 4 games
and is probably playing hurt
but they can't afford to play reggie jackson and ish smith because they aren't even nba players at this point

Yea nuggets aren’t the type of the team to get the benefit of the doubt with coasting. Haven’t done anything with this core and don’t have like a superteam. I still have them as one of the best teams in the west, it is understandable to not try when seeding is locked up already

The award has been meaningless for a long time, especially with the media idiots calling shots.
life is meaningless
so you make up your own meaning
and then drop dead one day

You could be in a coma for a couple years and then the decision to pull the plug is made so you're not really dropping dead. More so lying there dying.

Jokic is still playing well but his team got worse at the trade deadline + Murray is in a slump during this stretch (31.5%FG 25.7%3PT in these 4 games).
porter jr. is metastasizing cancer and murray is too unreliable
trade both of them to portland for lillard thybulle winslow
denver can throw in draft picks if portland requires it
win now mode
f it
if it doesn't work jokic can always leave that doomed franchise when his extension runs out or demand a trade
george karl says embiid is really good but takes too many possessions off so he's rolling with jokic
what a tragicomedy

His extension runs out after 2028, that's a long time bro.
