Slow footed, Stiff Centers with no skills don't have a place in today's NBA.

But today's players wouldn't be able to hang with the big boys back then under their rules.

Hmmm slow footed and stiff centers have no place.

Longley was actually smart and skilled and played the triangle really well while also being big enough to not get pushed around in the post to allow the help defense to contain the big guys of the era.
He was definitely slow but made up for it with his aforementioned strengths. He was barely a starter back then but Im pretty sure he could still grab a roster spot today

He looks like Ostertag, but Jokic is a skilled center, and much faster compared to Longley and Ostertag. Also a good 3 points shooter.

Tag could protect the rim with the best of them so he might certainly be in the league

They also wouldn't have developed their respective games exactly the same

Rare moment where OP actually attempts an independent thought instead of copying and pasting something he saw on Facebook or YouTube, and he gets brutalized immediately. Hey Louie why don’t you stick to a sport you might be better at. Isn’t billiards popular in Philippines? Would be a great sport for someone of your height. I imagine standing eye level at the table would have its advantages

Big boys back then couldn't hang today. PGs today couldn't hang back then. Simple as. /thread

Are they even tall enough to see the balls on the table?

If you wear Lebron Witness, your height jumps from 5’4 to 5’10 instantly

They shouldn’t have started in their own era
If the Bulls rolled out
Kukoc
Rodman
Pippen
Mike
Harper
Or
Rodman
Kukoc
Pippen
Mike
Kerr
That is post modern basketball and they still would’ve molly whopped everyone, including todays league.
Shooting, length, athleticism, but more importantly defense.

For spot up shooting? Yea. He’s not gonna be able to guard anyone significantly well but no one can play defense now anyway besides a select few. And Mike and Scottie or Kukoc bringing the ball up anyway, ya moron.

You're calling me a moron when obviously you never watched Kerr play. He could hit open 3's and he'd help bring the ball up for MJ and Pippen at times. That was it. Minor role player. Why not throw 12th man Craig Hodges in the mix. Arguably an even better shooter than Kerr

Rodman wouldnt have been able to guard centers full time back then while Kukoc was one of the worst defenders ever. There is a reason they needed somebody like Longley to start.

OP wouldn't be a starter on a US high school team. I've seen his videos.
Wouldn't be a bench player either.
