Nah. Malone was in some sense a role player already. It's just that his role was scoring and finishing plays... which he did exceptionally well. Stockton ran that offense.

Barkley is a much better answer. He could create his own shot and was very efficient. Would be great playing off a great wing or guard, while only putting up 10-15 high quality shots a game himself. Also was an all time great rebounder and could turn a game with his offensive glass work alone

No atg will have the same impact and success if you make them a roleplayer. These guys winning will depend on who had the better teammates which is unfair to guys who never played on superteams.

But to be fair, this year Lebron is having the same impact by sitting on the bench....

If a guy is doing 25 12 and 6 is not possible for him to get 12 and 8 and still have the same impact. No?
