Is there value in being a player that talks about publicly embracing pressure? I like that Celtics openly say that winning the championship is the standard of success or failure for this season but does that make them play better? Or conversely does Embiid saying the pressure to win should be on Jokic and not on him make Embiid and/or the Sixers worse? Note that I'm not asking about whether or not such a standard is fair, I'm asking if there are any opinions on whether or not players are better or worse when they embrace pressure.

What I hate is that his early career really had me believing he was a throwback truly competitive type like Shaq, Hakeem, or Ewing who was demanding respect and wanted all the big matchups on principle. Looks like he’s just another soft fraud. If he isn’t truly hurt that is. If somehow he genuinely hurt himself I apologize for my outburst.
