View Full Version : Over/Under that Reaves's Lakers make the playoffs without a play-in game

Considering that Reaves's Lakers went from 6 games under .500 to .500 (13th to 8th spot) when LeStatpadder was out - what are the odds they make the 6th spot?
Schedule coming up looks pretty easy; most of the teams Reaves is facing have poor records or key people out.
Thoughts?
Wed @ Chicago (Should be easy win for Reaves & Co. - they owe the Bulls for yesterday)
Reaves @ Timberwolves - 50/50 game quite frankly.
Reaves @ Houston - Worst team in the league; easy W.
Reaves @ Jazz - Never underestimate the Jazz and how they lose games they should win.
Reaves @ Clippers - No PG, Reaves should win.
Suns @ Reaves - Will KD be back?
Jazz @ Reaves - I see the Jazz losing again.
So I have Reaves going 5-2 in their final 7 games.
If this pans out, would 42-40 land them in the 6th spot? How much further will Dallas fall? Can the Pelicans make a push? OKC?
Discuss.

should beat Houston. Could certainly lose the rest

That's fair. Just depends on how much playing time the #1 Laker (Reaves) gets I guess.

They could potentially lose all of those games

likely to get a lot with Davis and Lebron probably missing games

No faith in Dallas. They are in free fall and don't have defense or real leadership it seems.
Pelicans are more of a threat but without Williamson not a truly good team. Ingram can't miss any more games. Don't believe in them without Williamson, Lakers should be able to pass them but on the flip side they should have beaten the B Bulls.
I do believe in OKC as a legit top 8 team in the west.
But really the reason Lakers can't avoid the play in is G State. The Warriors have fallen off but with 7 games to go a 1.5 game lead is big. James and AD aren't done missing games and the Lakers have no margin for error. So overall the play in is most likely. Coin flip as to whether or not they have hime court for the first game. And if they lose the first game I bet they fall apart and lose the second.

I doubt they make sixth seed...but it is possible.
Although how high they go largely depends on how much more load managing Lebron does. We've all seen that the Lakers are undeniably better without him.

You know LeBron is consensus GOAT when dudes hype a 12ppg teammate. :oldlol:
Pippen gave u 20+ and was better than Jordan at everything except scoring, so this is really an anti-jordan thread and op doesn't even know it.

You know that Bronie is nowhere near GOAT when a 12ppg teammate has more postive impact than he does.
Truth hurts.
