It's a roster that doesn't make sense, even ignoring Luka/Kyrie pairing which is hardly ideal...the players around them don't make sense.

Luka's whining on the court has been rubbing Mavs fans the wrong way for multiple years now. He also gives very little effort defensively.

It really is a shame after last year because a core of Luka/Brunson/DFS...with guys like Bullock/Maxi...really is the makings of a title winning team...just need some rim protection and for a guy like Josh Green to improve...maybe add a few vet role players...etc. You didn't need anything huge.

Now, we lost Brunson and DFS...don't have anything close to what you'd want....so while Luka has his flaws, he's more than held up his end on the court. He's been a great player for years now and the Mavs have given him very little to work with so far in his career.

It is absolutely time to start worrying/thinking about trading him for the Mavs because he only has 3 more years left and he'll never be more valuable than he is now. If we aren't good again next year...he could demand a trade...and honestly I wouldn't blame him.

So Cuban and Nico better figure out something this off-season to give Luka a reason to stay...or he's either going to demand a trade or just leave in 3 years time imo.
