What happened to Jokic's advanced stats?

What are you bragging about? That Embiid will get an MVP while Jokic has 2 and will still top Embiid in every advanced stat this year?

I will never understand the people that say stuff like this when a player loses a game or doesn't play well...as if they are robots and never play a bad game...especially coming off missing time.
It's like saying "what happened to Joel last year against the Heat...not so dominant...eh?"...but for some reason it is different because...some made up reason
Having said that...Joel deserves the MVP this year and I'm glad he's going to get it. Hopefully he can make a run for once in the playoffs without bad luck getting in the way.

Where were the advanced stats against the Rockets tonight and the Suns during the playoffs?

Stop trying to crown players before they deserve it. The media has been doing it and it infects public opinion. Jokic is a good player but he is still very flawed and unless he has perfect conditions like Giannis did or he stacks the deck, he's not going to be doing a whole lot of winning

Who is then? Most people who have ever won have either had great teams around them and/or things aligned well for them during the postseason. That’s generally how it works..

Got outplayed by Sengun :lol
Got outplayed by Sengun :lol
Sengun is baby Jokic tbh. Rockets need to feature him way more.
apparently perkins already switched his vote to giannis
3 more games and this joke of a season is over
then they can give the trinket to whoever

Cool, thanks. In another post to me you said I didn’t take a strong enough stance… now I’m crowning Jokic because I think he’s great and maybe the third best player in the game and a deserving MVP winner. What? Your logic makes no sense.
Also, Joel has done even less winning in the playoffs than Jokic. Do you really think we should be unable to call Joel a deserving MVP and all-time great because of that? Joel has unreal stats as well…I guess they mean nothing too.
I legit don’t even think you realize your own point anymore. The two guys you hate in for not winning have won more than the guy you say is the best. Again, I’m cool with Joel being the best…he might be… but your arguments are terrible and aren’t consistent.
Where is that winning without luck and great circumstances for any player in history outside like 5 guys?

Three guys that I can think of won without luck or great circumstances really. Hakeem, Duncan and Rick Barry. The three GOATs according to BigShotSlob :applause:

Jokic only played 25 minutes so they obviously werent too concerned about winning the game. They are two games up on Memphis, with the tiebreaker, with 3 to play.
OP is so mad :oldlol:

And Duncan definitely had luck. Not only did Dirk get hurt in the 03 WCF, but the 03 Nets, while good, were a weaker than average finals opponent.
It is just dumb.
If it was so easy to be the clear cut best player on a title winning team, way more guys would do it. The most important piece is being an all-time great… and then you also need the right team and sometimes the right path.

who the **** cares? Jokic just came back from a calf injury and has the #1 seed locked up.

you speak as if Embiid has some kind of superior playoff resume/play. Strange person.

Huh? Hakeem won twice while Jordan randomly decided to retire. Barkley got hurt in '94 as well, otherwise the Suns probably make it through. In '95 he got Clyde.
Duncan was drafted first overall to a team that was picking there because their MVP was injured the season before. After that they were lucky to develop Parker and Manu they way they did. Although I'm sure Duncan played a part it that.
If Giannis stumbled into a perfect set of circumstances in 2021 then you can say that about pretty anyone. Guys get hurt all the time, it's just no one remembers.

That's what idiotic "rangz" fans fail to realize, winning a title ALWAYS involves great circumstances and a degree of luck. Yes, you still have to be great to lead your team there, but there's so much that goes into it that's frankly out of a players control.

They are a regular season team with Jokic and always will be. Outside of the bubble he will never go past the 2nd round unless he stacks the deck. That's just the nature of his limited impact.
The Nuggets are no better than the Jazz were a couple years ago. If the Nuggets faced the Clippers, healthy Lakers, healthy Suns, or the Warriors, you know that there's a high probably that they would lose. Mainly because Jokic would be the 2nd or 3rd best player in all of those series.
He's just not good enough yet.

I've been posting here for 8-9 years or so and I don't think I've ever seen someone more wrong about a player.
Even if the Heat pull some magic and end up winning this series, Jokic has show what he can do it it's not Klay Thompson level stuff :lol
Maybe he'll show his face if that happens but if the Nuggets cruise it'll be a Keyser Soze situation. He gone.
A guy on ISH made a thread saying Dirk would never win. He won one of the most impressive rings ever. People on ISH made many threads saying LeBron would never win. He's won 4 rings since, with a FMVP each time. There was a thread saying Giannis would never win a ring, I believe made by BigIdiotBob. Giannis proceeded to win a ring with one of the most dominant finals series ever. There were many threads made on here saying Curry would never win without a teammate bailing him out in the finals. He was the unquestioned best player in the 2022 finals and the main reason his team won by far. Now BigIdiotBob says Jokic will never get past the second round without a "stacked team" and is proven to be similarly wrong. While I hope Jokic loses this series as a Heat fan, he's already proved BigIdiot wrong regardless, but my main point is people should stop saying players who are ATG caliber will never do something, because it really backfires a lot of the time.

The guy's averaging 31 ppg on 63%TS through the Finals and he was legitimately questioning whether or not he could outscore post achillies Klay Thompson in a series :lol You'd be hard pressed to find a worse prediction/analysis than that.

Conceding that mvp was the best thing that happened to him. It put a chip on his shoulder and now he's about to put himself up amongst the goats (still some ways to go but he's on fast track)
