LA matches up well with all three of these teams IMO. Sacramento is obviously the most ideal choice: their defense is lacking and they have no answer for AD.

I also like how LA has the bodies for the core Denver players. You've got Rui and Vanderbilt for MPJ, AD and Mo for Jokic, and Dennis and Austin for Jamal.

The Grizzlies are a defensive-slanted, mediocre shooting team. LA's size, paint protection, and point-of-attack defense should slow Memphis down.

All things considered, here's how I'd list the matchups:

1. Sacramento
2. Denver
3. Memphis

3. Memphis.

If I were a Lakers fan, I wouldn't want Grizzlies in the first round.

But on the plus side (from a Lakers fan perspective), if you get by the Grizzlies, you're winning the West.

Sacramento if only for their inexperience.

That crowd will be absolutely wild though. Shades of 2002 cowbells and all lol

I also think the Lakers matchup well with Denver. Not quite like they did in 2020 though. They had bodies to throw at Joker then (Dwight/Mcgee). AD now would be on an island...

Phoenix, Clippers are ideal.

Kings might be the biggest pretenders i have seen in the recent times. They don't have neither star power nor depth. They suck defensively and their coaching isn't great.

Assuming all that is true, how do you think they managed to get a good record?
