Saw this on the news yesterday , that the EPA besides the US government will have manufactures targeting 2032

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/08/climate/biden-electric-cars-epa.html

That is literally in our time frame , right around the corner.

They obviously are targeting to concentrate pollutants and then refine regulations.

1.5 trillion vehicles on the road as we speak.
My guess it will take a trickled down affect with buses, semi's, planes 40 + years.

It applies to new cars. Most people don't buy cars new and buy used.

you hang out with too many losers bro. Thats why you come to this assumption that most people buy used cars. If there were no new cars for sale, how can there be enough used cars?

Birds of a feather flock together I suppose.

those used cars just roll off the assembly line. Well done.

Well your point is taken 1.5 trillion cars in the world don't roll off the assembly line annually.

Some people just don’t understand basic math.

A new car can only be sold once, then it is no longer new. That same car could be sold 3 times in a year. A billion cars have been made. They are all in the pot being sold and resold. There are 1.46 billion cars in the world.

“Sales of used light vehicles in the United States came to around 43.1 million units in 2021. The same year, approximately 15.3 million new light trucks and automobiles were sold here. “

A lot of those new cars sold nowadays are SUVs and crossovers.

By 2032 Robo taxis will be so cheap that it won't makes sense to own a car for most people.

But you don't need a car, since you live under the basement.
