What do you think? Biden has less than 2 years left before he's most definitely ousted either by his own Democrat Party or by a Republican in the General Election.
Just filled up yesterday at $3.49 a gallon.

And that's only because I stopped driving my Challenger to work every day. I swapped cars with a relative and I drive an SUV that only requires Regular gasoline. The Challenger definitely requires Premium and that would be over $4 a gallon.

Well, it's 3.20 right now, and I saw 3.eighteen the other day.
Still, the president does not set the oil prices. Private corporations do. I don't think you have figured it out yet.

And yet the average price of gas across the country is 3.66 and rising per https://gasprices.aaa.com/
I wish the President and his minions would stop talking about Electric vehicles which doesn't solve the crisis of high gas prices today. Plus, electric vehicles are supremely expensive. Imagine an administration that would put more focus on fossil fuels to help the every day American TODAY and not paint this rosy picture of electric cars in the year 2032.
And before you come back and repeat the same nonsense that "the President doesn't control the prices and yadda yadda yadda", then why oh why is there so much emphasis on electric vehicles by this administration despite electric vehicles belonging to private corporations just as you say the oil industry belongs to private corporations as well??

Electric vehicles is a long-term vision. Electric vehicles get cheaper as there are more companies entering the electric vehicle market. Just because they are expensive now doesn't mean they will be expensive in a few years. Again, the administration doesn't control the oil prices. Even if Biden began to yell about lowering oil prices, private companies control the oil prices (and a lot of it is from OPEC+ oil pricing model).
The government has some power over what and how many cars are sold from car manufacturers within American borders, but do not have power to dictate how the company is to be run including pricing on products (executives do). American government has power over which oil company does business within American borders, but do not have power to dictate how oil company is to be run including pricing on products (executives do). Do you understand the difference?

Remember the Republicans thought they were gonna have a massive Red Wave in the 2022 mid-term elections because of gas prices?
Remember how it blew up in their faces?
That's how much gas prices impact elections.

Not until we have another pandemic and everyone is working from home and nobody goes on vacation or drives or flies anywhere. It's supply and demand. Prices have always spiked after a war or an epidemic, when people get on with their normal lives.

Or until the summer when families go vacationing.
It's called capitalism.

It's not just about putting gas in your car, which btw, ran some people $100/wk when gas prices were hitting $5/gallon in 2022. Some of us pay for heating too. Heating can run you $400-800 during winter months due to the rising cost of oil and natural gas.
Those prices trickle into the distribution costs. Most goods are delivered through trucks. All of these things are intertwined and as such, you'll see higher costs in stores.

I do; I live in Queens and work in Manhattan. I drive into work. Several of my coworkers commute by car and a lot of my friends drive into Long Island. NY is filled with vehicles.

The government does control the Strategic Petroleum Reserves. And look what's been happening to it as a result of the war in Ukraine. Our SPR is almost depleted.

Ofc, USA owns the spr, but you don't want to go into the reserves except only in times of emergency then you have to eventually re-fill it when global oil prices are down.

—Two strongest years of job growth in history
—800,000 new manufacturing jobs
—Unemployment rate near historic lows
—CHIPs Act passed to bring down costs
—Generational infrastructure investments
—PACT Act for veterans care passed
President Biden is getting the job done.
And making MAGAS lives better even though they are too stupid to notice.
