I'm disappointed. This is nothing more than a slap on the wrist. If the NBA really wanted to disincentivize teams from tanking, they'd make them forfeit draft picks.

Lol, basically nothing then.

Silver is soft, honestly when we get a new commish it will be obvious how much Silver lost control, to players mostly but also owners.

Adam Silver is soft but tanking a couple of games is not a big deal.

Might as well not even of fined them then. $750,000 is like what to Cuban in normal people's money? $7.50? $75? Basically nothing. If you have a 80% chance to keep a top 10 pick by losing one game at the end of the season I think most owners would pay $750,000 to keep it vs losing it at 15%.

People really expected the league to take the pick from them? Cmon man.. All these teams tank every year and nothing gets done about it, they can't take their pick because they sat out guys the last 2 games when they were out of the 10 spot with OKC in the driver seat. If you're upset about this, then you should be upset about the Jazz or the Blazers blatantly tanking since the ASB.

I think they should have been punished by the league as well. Either crack down for real, or ignore it altogether and don't pretend to care.
