A little harsh on the Penguin don't ya think? I know I'm in the minority, and not a huge fan of "superhero" movies, but Batman Returns was probably my fav of the Batman movies. Even so, I think Tim Burton could have done a lot more with the Penguin considering his talent on portraying likeable deviants. Wish that movie had a lead other than Michael Keaton too.

i'm not saying he's a bad character and can't be interesting, i'm saying he was never intended to be the central focus of his own movie or series. this just feels like a huge reach.

he's a villain. without batman he's a nothing character. this is just gonna be a generic gangster show.

This. It's mind blowing to me how many adults are still into that childish superhero stuff.

This is why I loved Christopher Nolan's Batman movies while completely ignored the rest of the superhero movies.

That's not fair... Gen X grew up with the comics, it's basically their childhood... Star Wars too.

There's a $hit ton of young adults that have a fascination with Pokemon and Dragonball Z... that's their childhood I suppose.


and how you gonna dismiss Logan? Logan was a dark masterpiece of art... I haven't watched episode 1 yet of the Penguin but I'm about to.

Sopranos + Gotham City seems like a win to me, but we'll see.

One of the best performances and episodes of television I've seen in a minute.

Those last two episodes got real dark and disturbing.

Darker than Joaquin Phoenix's Joker... and that movie was so twisted it's hard to watch twice.


I wanted the Penguin to be more of a likeable villain... but after watching the last two episodes... that became impossible.

I like DC is rotating Gunn and Reeves years...as for the October wait for Batman II...remember Avengers is coming out in May and Spider-man is coming out in July (to go along with Spielberg and Nolan films in the Summer).
